The Sun woke me from my slumber. I dreamt of the first time I found attraction to Brody. I washed my face and teeth to start the day. I walked out the door to my car. It was only one more day until the concert with Brody. It was making me overly eager to shelve books with him. And before I knew it was time for lunch. I jogged to the library with excitement. Then I saw them. It was Brody and another girl I pass in the halls. He was making her laugh and they were standing close together. He kept leaning down to whisper into her ear. My stomach began to twist. I ran to the katty and pushed it towards the back rows of books away from Brody and the girl he was flirting with. How was I getting the wrong signals this entire time? Would he flirt with me or was he just being friendly? A tear slipped from my eye slowly making its way down my face.
Brody never showed up to help with the books, so I decided to eat with Kinly. She was sitting at her normal spot on the bench under the grandfather's oak tree.
"Kinly I need some girl time." She looked up at me and smiled.
"Sit your ass down. We can watch Sex and The City on my phone." It was difficult to focus on the show without becoming a complete mess. A few tears leaked through, but Kinly didn't notice. No one did.
The rest of the day dragged, whenever I got home. I gave into the drowsy feeling that began to take over. When I woke up it was seven-thirty in the morning. My phone wasn't on the charger, so when I checked to see if I had any notifications nothing came up. Just a black screen, dead. I place the phone on the charger and decide to take a shower. I massaged the apple smelling foam into my wet hair. Once the shampoo and conditioner were out I scrubbed my skin with a loofa. After patting my skin dry I put on a pair of leggings that were cat printed and a black baggy hoodie. My phone was charged enough to check the notifications. There were five snapchats and one text.
Brody- I'll be over at 5:00 to pick you up tomorrow.:)
     Laura- Sounds good to me.
The time now was nine, to waste time I planned out my outfit for this evening.
