Even vampires have mates...
Vladimir is the King of Vampires. His empire thrives under his rule, but he something is missing; his mate. Vlad has scoured the Earth for his beloved, only to come back to his kingdom empty handed. But when a certain sce...
It was twilight when the we all went into the forest. My party consisted of Violet, Haggar, and myself, but the rest of the parties had four in them. We walked gradually towards the East, breathing in deeply along the way for a small scent of her's. I suddenly stopped, hearing a rustling in the bushes. Haggar stood in front of Violet, clenching his fist and getting ready for a fight. The rustling came closer and we could hear the padding of feet. I caught the scent of a familiar vampire and relaxed; it was Ryan. Haggar also relaxed from his tense stance. "It's just Ryan," he said. And then he broke through the bushes and what alarmed me was the look on his face.
"We found something!"
He didn't have to speak another word before we started running behind him in the direction he had came. We reached the far west of Verish, and the rest of the parties were there with the exception of those that were searching in the far north of the kingdom. I took in her honeysuckle scent, but it wasn't strong enough for her to be here in person. I walked towards where everyone was crowding and they parted as I walked through. The leader of the southern party was Charles, who turned to me and bowed.
"It's a letter for you, your Majesty. It's laced in the Queen's scent, and no one has opened it."
I nodded, "Thank you, Charles." I took the envelope that was identical to the one before it and opened it. I was greeted with her scent again, but it wasn't a vial of blood this time; it was strands of her hair. I unfolded the letter and began to read the words of the man who had captured my Mate.
Vladimir Of Verish, And here we are again, your Majesty, you desperately searching and myself watching eagerly. You truly are my only source of entertainment other than your little beauty over here. She is a gem, but she is a bit of a fighter; I'll break her spirit soon enough. I thought it was fitting you should know, since I told you about her eyes, that she has dark, brown hair. The girls gave her a nice bath and a haircut, you should see her, your Majesty. Perhaps next time I'll send you a finger or an ear! She has adorable, little ears! This letter is a bit shorter than the other one, but what can you do? Well, you certainly can't do anything! If you haven't noticed, I've made sure that her scent isn't in the same place twice, and it never will be. I like to keep people on their toes. Hmmm, maybe I'll bring you a toe....how disgustingly amazing would that be? Until next time,
Draco Of Disaso
I hissed and growled to let out my anger. I turned to the crowd of trackers behind me and they took a step back, seeing the rage in my eyes. "Keep searching in all directions! I want her found by the end of this week! He intends to cut off parts of her and send them to us; it's up to us to save her. FIND HER NO MATTER WHO YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH, NO MATTER WHAT YOU HAVE TO FACE! FIND HER!" They immediately scattered, leaving me clutching the letter and the strands of hair from my Mate's scalp.
I felt my sister's hand on my shoulder, making me slightly flinch. "We'll find her."
"We better."
