It's been three months since Margaret was sent to Hatfield. Anastasia was so upset, along with that she had not yet been pregnant again. Every night, Henry would share her bed, but no results. Everyone at court could feel the way their queen was feeling. How Anastasia missed her daughter so much and missed Tatiana, who offered to watch Margaret, since Anastasia didn't trust anyone.
Much to the Seymours, Caroline wasn't sent to Hatfield, but stayed to wait on the queen. Anastasia didn't want Caroline to watch over Margaret, even if she did do her job well.
THREE MONTHS EARLIER
Anastasia bursts through the doors of her room and went straight for Caroline. Caroline froze and watched carefully. Anastasia grabbed Margaret from her arms, gently, and laid her on the bed. She lays next to her daughter and holds her close, fearing as if someone would take her daughter far away and would never be able to see her again.
The doors open again, this time slowly, and Maria and Kathleen walk in with their heads down. Tatiana and Anna were the first to rush to the Principal Lady.
"Kathleen, what is wrong?" Anna asked. Caroline walks over as well.
"Yes, please tell us." Caroline says softly. Kathleen glares at her but answers anyways.
"Not that it is any of your business, " says it directly to Caroline. "... but His Majesty is sending Princess Margaret to Hatfield House."
"What? Why?" Tatiana raises her voice, while questioning them.
"Keep your voice down." Maria hisses.
"The King is giving Margaret a house and servants. I believe he thinks this is a good idea." Kathleen believes. She glances over to Anastasia's body that was shaking a bit. "He doesn't see the pain he is causing her."
No one had noticed Caroline sneak out of the room. She walked quickly, but kept a calm look on her face so o one would grow suspicions. Her rushed towards Jane's room, knowing well that her brothers would be there to.
"Will someone quiet that baby?" Jane yelled at the nurse as Caroline walks in. Edward rubbed his head in stress at the crying child. Caroline rolls her eyes and walks over to take baby Edward from the nurse's arms. She had to admit, Margaret was a whole lot calmer than Edward.
"Caroline. Why are you here?" Asked her brother, Thomas.
"I have news." Caroline mutters while soothing her nephew before Jane has a fit.
"What? Tell me now." Edward demands. Caroline rolls her eyes.
"I have heard from one of Anastasia's ladies that her daughter is to be sent to live in Hatfield where she will be raised. All by His Majesty's orders."
"What?" Jane couldn't believe it. "He is giving a daughter a house and servants to watch her and not our son? I am tired from watching Edward myself." Jane throws a fit. Caroline didn't believe what she was hearing. The queen is heartbroken by the separation she will have with her daughter, but Jane wants her son far away from her.
Baby Edward was finally asleep in her arms and set him down gently, She walks towards her brother, waiting for anything else he might say before she leaves. Edward dismissed her. He treated her more live a servant than a sister.
PRESENT TIME
Henry saw it. He saw the sadness in his wife's eyes. It made him angry to see her like that, but also that Anastasia was still not yet with child. Having visited her every night. He didn't understood, he needed help. That's why Henry summoned Anastasia's Principle lady to the throne room.
"Your Majesty, the King summons Lady Kathleen immediately." Said the groom. Anastasia looked over at her friend in question. Kathleen looked just as confused but nods and bows to Anastasia before leaving. Anastasia thought of the many reasons why Henry would call for her friend. One of them being that Henry wanted to bed Kathleen, but Kathleen wouldn't do such a thing to Anastasia. Anastasia trusts Kathleen and will continue to do so.
Kathleen walks behind to groom at he leads her to the throne room. The doors open and Kathleen's face turns neutral. She walks in careful and Henry, who is sitting on his throne, watches her as she bows.
"Your Majesty, you have called for me?"
"Yes, I have. Lady Kathleen, you know the queen better than any of her other ladies, I assume?" Henry questions.
"Yes, Your Majesty." Kathleen answers.
"As you know, Lady Kathleen, it is every important for me to produce an heir, but the queen seems to not be focused on that at the moment. Do you know why?" Henry asked. Kathleen looks at him the eye and nods.
"With your permission, Your Majesty. I believe I know the reason the queen can not be pregnant yet." Kathleen tells. Henry leans in and waves his hand.
"Pray tell." Henry adds. Kathleen takes a deep breath, hoping her plan to reunite mother and daughter works.
"The queen is sad. Ever since the Princess Margaret has been sent to live away from her mother, it has made the queen greatly upset." Kathleen then got down on her knees and held her hand together. "I beg you, Your Majesty. For the sake of your reign and for my mistress, bring Princess Margaret back."
Henry was shocked. All this sadness and no pregnancy, was because his wife missed their daughter? Henry did have to agree, remembering when he sent Mary away from Catherine when she was only a child. It was a mother's love for her child.
"You truly believe this will work?" Henry asked her. Kathleen smiled and nods.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
"And I will have a son and heir?" Henry asks again.
"If God wills it so." Henry didn't speak, but thought over it.
"Alright. I will send someone to bring my daughter back to court. Don't tell my wife. I would like it to be a surprise." Henry smile. Kathleen stands up.
"God bless you, Your Majesty." Kathleen said softly before bowing and leaving. Now she had to make up something to tell her queen.
