Mother Blue

Chapter 13

There is going to be a lot of scene changes in this chapter.

Third POV
The Paladins flew in their lions to the location that Pidge had informed them about. The stars whizzed by as they sped through space, the faster they got there the sooner they could save their friend.

— Galra Ship —

Lance sat on the bed braiding his mums hair as they caught up on all the things that they have missed in each other's lives.

"-ahahahhh!! Now way, he didn't?!!" Honerva laughed out as Lance told her about how Hunk asked him out.

"Yes he did! It was so amazing to see words in the sand from above." Lance swooned at the memory of Hunk taking him to the beach and to see the word 'boyfriend?' written in the sand. The dinner that Hunk had made and how he fell in over when a wave crashed.

The Blue Paladin finished off braiding her hair and Honerva got up off the floor and sat beside him on the bed. She placed a hand on his soft cheek, looking him in the eyes.

"I missed all of this..." she sad sadly. "You grew up and I wasn't there..."

There was a silence and Honerva's mind flashed to the frightened little boy that she had met in the hospital. That thought led her to the thought of his father...oh god what if something had happened after she left.

As if reading her thoughts Lance placed hit hand on hers. "Father is still in prison.." He then let go and looked at his crossed feet

"Can I have a hug?..."

— Paladins —

The team arrived at the location and to their surprise the mother ship was still there, it hadn't wormholed away.

"You know the plan; get in, find Lance, get out and if you find any other prisoners get them out too." Shiro spoke with a calm authoritative voice but if you listened close enough you could hear worry.

A chorus of 'got its' came from the others and they boarded the Galra ship.

They walked quitely in the shadows, avoiding all soldiers as they closed in of the prison block. When they came to the cells they let out a bunch of prisoners but no Lance.

Pidge had found a signal that was from Lance's suit, so they went to that cell. Shiro busted the door open but stopped in his tracks, the cell was empty, nothing except pieces of the Blue Paladins suit.

"Oh no..."

"Pidge, you and Keith get the civilians of the ship." They nodded and started to gather up the people. "Hunk and I will look for Lance."

With that they go their separate ways. Shiro and Hunk race through the purple lit halls thinking of where Lance could be, then it hit Shiro. Haggar's quarters.

The turn the corner and come to a place that had seen so many times it felt as though he had never left. They carefully opened the door and walked in, weapons at the ready just in case the witch showed up.

Hunk moved over to a small door and signalled for Shiro to come over. The Black Paladin was about to say something when Hunk places a hand over his mouth.

"Do you hear that?"

Shiro leaned in and he started to hear soft singing coming from the room. A woman's voice singing a gentle lullaby, he voice sounded like an angel.

They slam open the door and shock fills them at what they see. Lance laying up against Haggar (Honerva), she had her hand over his eyes, holding him down.
They both run over, Hunk grabbing Lance and Shiro pulling Haggar off the bed.

Honerva looks at Lance and gulps
