When Heathens Love: A Tale of Corruption

Our corrupt love is the cause to our immorality, my Lovely,

Yet still you bring me to my knees,

Again and again I fall willingly.

Your crystallized words are only for decoration,

For they possess no depth,

Nor do they hold any truth,

Yet I allow you to play me,

I continue to eat your forbidden fruit.

Your eyes are beautiful and vacant,

Your smile is hollow and stale,

Darkness thrives within you,

Your skin is glowing pale.

When your hungry hand tastes the skin of my smirking cheek,

I can feel your lust for power,

But when we kiss it makes you weak.

I can taste the sugared torment,

When our lips test the bounds,

So I strike back invisibly,

Beckoning to Hell's Hounds.

Lets love like wicked devils,

Lets play with glittered fire,

To burn away all traces of love,

And leave only subconscious desire.

My demons whisper in seductive voices,

Singing a lullaby of destruction in my eager awaiting ears,

Telling me to be rid of you,

Numbing all of my lonely years.

So I feed off of your vulnerabilities,

And all of your pitiful fears,

I allow these unholy ghosts to possess me,

I couldn't care less about all of our shared tears.

My intentions are not pure my Love,

My heart is not innocent,

While you close your gullible eyes to rest in a slumber of charcoal dreams,

I plot your fated death,

I dream of your last pleading breath.

You warn me that the knell sings for me,

You naïve devil you,

If only you truly knew,

It is I who shall be the death of you.
