-- This is the Prologue to my story (which is currently on hold) Apollo of Grecian Mud. Originally it was meant to be a poem, so I thought I would post it here :)

Apollo of Grecian Mud
(Prologue)
If you could mold a person out of an earthly clay
Would you make their features Godly
Or simply ordinary and plain?
If you then framed their body
Would it be flawless and ideal?
Would their flesh be constructed perfectly?
Or something along the lines of real?
If then you could give them voice
What would you prefer they say
Profess a undying love perhaps?
Or would they speak in vain?
Would their voice be melodic?
Or just the whisper of a bee?
A mute or soloist?
Singing songs of melancholy or glee?
If you taught them about love
Is it you that you intend for them to see?
A creation made personally
A possession crafted specially for thee?
And of course you would bless them free will
To make choices of their own
But what if they did not pick you
And left you desolate, broken and alone?
Now, I have one last question...out of fury and jealousy, would you then destroy what you have created?
