Botanical Girl:

Pegasus hadn't been feeling himself for quite some time, he hadn't been dueling or trying to host competitions. It was as if he'd lost his will, and instead he'd taken to roaming his property at all hours of the day or night.

He thought about her, his Cecelia.

She'd been so beautiful, so pure, innocent. She'd been taken away from him much too young, and she was the only person in the world who hadn't deserved such a fate.

"Stop! You'll step on it!"

A woman, not much younger than Pegasus himself, rushed towards him with a raw type of anger on her tanned face. She wore a flower crown atop her head, red curls decorating and framing her slim, long face with a long sleeved green sun dress and matching gloves on her tall, slender body and delicate hands.

Pegasus froze, though he wasn't quite sure why; this girl had no control over him, this was his property, his lands; he vaguely recognized her as his gardener.

What was her name? Fern or Rose or.. Something to do with plants or flowers, he was sure. He remembered because he'd thought it so ironic that a plant-named girl had an intense love for plants.

"It's a new plant, a brand new rose that's supposed to be poisonous to the touch. It's deadly, but so beautiful, please don't step on it and ruin its perfection."

She was everything Cecelia wasn't. Quiet instead of Cece's loud and boisterous, shy instead of outgoing, bright clothes instead of dull whites and blacks.

"You're perfection could not possible be ruined."

Rose, or Fern, or perhaps her name was Ivy blushed a deep red and smiled shyly. "I meant the flower, sir, but thank you."

"As well as I meant you, and you're quite welcome my dear. Tell me, what is your name?"

"Petunia, but please call me Toon."

Toon, he thought, how fitting.

"How would you like to accompany me to supper this evening, Toon?" After all, it had been years. Perhaps.. He could move on, with the right woman. Something in his mind told him this could be her.

"Thank you, Mister Pegasus, it would be my honor."

"The honor will be all mine, I assure you."
