"Hello! Hi! Hey, how're you?"

Atem watched as she trailed down the stadium seats, making it a point to talk to everyone she knew in the crowd.

He was supposed to be dueling, but when he had heard her voice, he seemed to have no control over his own movements as his head turned to catch sight of her.

Her name was lost on him, though they went to the same school and he had seen her nearly every day, he didn't know it. All he knew was she was always outspoken and loud, bright and bubbly. She was a welcome relief to everyone else who surrounded him.

"Yeah! Go Yugi! You can do it!"

A smile graced his lips as her encouragements reached his ears before he turned his attention back to the duel.

"I sacrifice Kuriboh to play Dark Magician Girl; in attack mode!"

"You were amazing, Yugi! Congratulations on your win!"

Atem stepped next to her before smiling and thanking her. He decided to try and make it a point to know her name.

"Why don't we all go out to celebrate?" He looked to the girl before continuing, "You're invited as well."

Téa, Joey, Tristan, Atem and the girl who had captured his attention headed out to the local pizzeria in an excited buzz.

"I loved it when he brought out Dark Magician Girl! She's my favorite, she's so strong and cute!"

Téa smiled at the girl, noticing how she and Yugi kept glancing at each other and decided maybe it would be time to play matchmaker.

"How rude, you guys. We haven't even introduced ourselves. I'm Téa, this is Joey, and Tristan."

"Oh sorry.. I'm really bad at introductions.. My name is Yukimi Tono, but my friends call me Kimi."

When they'd finally gotten to the pizzeria, Kimi chose a booth for them all before moving into one so that she could be near the window. Téa herded Joey and Tristan to sit on the side opposite her so that a certain someone was forced to sit next to her.

Not that Atem was complaining, he appreciated it in all honesty as it gave him a chance to have an actual conversation with this girl. She reminded him of her own favorite card actually, in a lot of different ways.

She shouldn't be anyone special, he only just found out her name but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't intrigued by her. She was everything he wasn't, the sound of her voice always caused him to whip around trying to find her; and now he hung on to her every word and took mass amounts of enjoyment in her company.

It was nice.

Soon, Joey and Tristan left to meet someone else, and then it was just Kimi, Atem and Téa; until she had to leave too.

"So... Today was fun," Kimi muttered, suddenly seeming uncomfortable when it was just the two of them.

"Indeed. Perhaps we could do it again sometime. Just us, maybe?"

Kimi smiled and blushed, glancing up at Atem before she nodded. "I'd like that."

Kimi threw her thin arms around his neck and gave him a hug that could rival a weight-lifters, kissed him on his cheek before jumping out of the booth.

"It's a date, we should do it Friday at 7, I'll meet you at your grandpa's shop, I won't be late!"
