even after ten minutes of waiting these boys still wouldn't give up. brad looked tired, but he wouldn't let the pack down and give in.

their growling got louder, i wanted to go home and sleep! the rest of the pack didn't take their eyes of the two of them.

liam had blue eyes, he was the omega as he lost many fights against brad before. his wolf was a light brown, but was still huge, slightly smaller than brads.

i started to walk around, still close enough to the fight to see and hear what was going on. but it was getting dark out. i won't lie, i was starting to be afraid of the woods at night. with hunters and other creatures running around, it just wasn't safe.

however, i could have no say. as one of the betas and being the youngest, i have no opinion that's good enough for them. it's worthless.

"come on, brad!" one of the boys shouted.

brad ran at liam, biting into his shoulder. liam whimpered and fell to the ground, he lost once again. brad shifted back, his arms were covered in bite marks and cuts which would eventually turn into scars.

he won once again.

the pack all cheered him on and congratulated him, even liam. he shifted back and shook brads hand, at least he's a good sport. all was celebrating, except me. i couldn't understand the joy everyone got from this.

you're watching two people hurt themselves in order to upgrade their position. why? why gain enjoyment from it? we should all be equal in a pack, we should all look out for each other.

everyone started to walk home and i slowly followed behind, keeping a large distance away from everyone.

i watched the night sky, the stars were glowing as always. but a figure caught my eye, a bat flew straight pass my head, making me stop otherwise i would've walked into it.

an instinct told me to follow it, so i did. it started to gain in speed, forcing me to run after it. i was already following it so i wasn't going to lose it. i wasn't raised like that.

it landed in a tree and wouldn't move. all of sudden, there was just a flash before my eyes; of course it's him, why wouldn't it be.

"you definitely had me working up a sweat." grayson laughed. that boy really got on my nerves but i couldn't show i was annoyed, something told me not to.

i rolled my eyes and said nothing. "come on. i won." he smirked.

he knelt down to face my at my level, "you're not gonna shift are you?"

i shook my head. sometimes it's nice to talk to someone without having to say anything. he stroked my head - which was weird, i'll admit - most people want to know what a wolfs fur feels like.

people say it's fluffy but it's not. most wolves fur are rough and nasty.

"you're really something, alison." he chuckled.

i smiled to myself and decided to shift back, it hurt but i tried to not show i was in pain. i didn't want to show it.

"you're eyes don't change, do they?" he asked.
