charlie's pov

"brad? when's training?" i asked standing in his doorway.

he stayed looking out the window, "it's not today. i'm busy."

alison had been gone for nearly a week and brad was shitting himself. he was worried for the worst like he always was; if anything happened to my baby sister i'd blame grayson.

he's dangerous and disgusting, everything that she shouldn't want but she does. "brad, i think there's something you should know about alison's boyfriend."

"what? he's hurt her?" he asked as he stood up.

"no but he's not human. he's a... a vampire." i muttered.

he sighed, "i fucking knew it." he sat back down with his head in his hands, "we can't kick her out of the pack! she's our sister! but they're breaking the law and it's just not right."

i sat down at the table in silence, brad was in distress, he didn't know what to do.

"i'm going out. watch the pack." he ordered and stormed out the door before shifting.

grayson's pov

i sat on my phone waiting for a text or a call back or a response to my voicemails, "alison, please talk to me. i love you so please don't let us drift apart, please." i left again.

it was silent until someone started banging on my front door, so i answered it.

"you dirty little vampire!" the strange man shouted as he pushed me against the wall and shut the front door, "where is she?!"

"sorry, who are you?" i asked, confused.

he rolled his eyes which were blood red, "where is alison hunt? where is my sister?" he repeated walking slowly towards me.

"i don't know! i want the question answered too!" i shouted.

"i'd kill you right here, right now. that's my little sister who is a child! don't you realise how much you're going to hurt her?! that's why there are laws, dickhead." he told me.

i pushed him away, "don't you think i know that! what, do you think i hurt her?"

he was trying to stay calm but his wolf, as alison would say, was trying to break free. he breathed in deeply, "stay away from her, or i'll kill you myself, understand?"

"why should i listen to you? i'm not scared of no alpha." i told him and crossed my arms.

"or she'll be forced to stay away from you by the pack." he finished and walked out with his fists clenched.

should i have been intimated? sure but i wasn't. it's just a kid trying to act big and bad, a joke in all honesty.

but alison, she's a different story. she ran away? i just couldn't believe it. i looked in a mirror and saw the mark she left still hadn't disappeared, it had turned black and started to form a pattern but it wasn't complete.

yes, i knew what it was. she claimed me but i hadn't claimed her.

it made me mad, why didn't i mark her when i had the chance?

alison's pov

"it's not so bad out here." willow told me. i shook my head as i laid down in a cave i found.

"we have to go back soon, willow." i replied, laughing slightly. she enjoyed the wild, being alone.

"do you hear that?" she asked. i nodded as i jolted up and started growling. a wolf slightly bigger than me walked towards me.

they growled back, then i realised who it was as a wolf doesn't have green eyes. i felt calm and my body felt weak as it started to shift when i didn't want to.

the wolf passed me a bag which had a very large t-shirt and shorts in which i quickly put on once i was human. "what are you doing?!" i exclaimed as i heard thunder outside the cave.

the wolf shifted to human form and quickly put clothes on, "i just felt bad that you ran away. no one has seen you for a while so i came to find you." he said, dripping wet.

he was shivering, "come here, i'll start a fire." during my time away from everyone, willow was helping me with my 'powers' and turns out i can create fire. who knew?

i focused as i put all my energy into creating a fire, after a few tries i finally did it.

"woah." he said, shocked. his hair was soaking wet, he sat in front of the fire to warm himself up. "you're one of them."

"one of what?" i questioned.

"royalty." he finished.

i shrugged, "yeah, nothing special; i'm still not intimidating and stuff so."

"well grayson is important to you, what does he think?" he asked.

i laughed, "i'm the least of his worries, after all he is a vampire." i looked down at my hands to just think about what i just said; why did i say it? i love him even if i've never said it to him properly.

"i'm guessing you don't know. vampires and werewolves don't like each other, the fact that grayson and i are together is a huge issue that could get us killed. why? just because." i told him.

"so just leave him?" he said as if that's an option.

"no. it's too late to do anything. i love him even if i'm kinda hurt that he wasn't the one that tried to find me." i admitted.

it wasn't a lie, i wanted grayson to find me or at least try! but he didn't. maybe it's because of the law, maybe it's because we were just an unspoken thing.

"alison, i don't want to use you when you're upset or any time for that matter, but if you need someone i'm here." he said. what he said was confusing but because i've known him for so long i understood.

i looked up at him, his long eyelashes and caring smile, "thanks chris." i smiled. "you should probably sleep, we'll talk in the morning." i finished as i shifted to fall asleep.

chris did the same, falling asleep quickly and quietly as i laid there thinking about grayson.
