Hiccup's Pov

"Merida left, she wasn't feeling well" Elsa reported.

"Oh." I answered. She left right after we got dismissed. I was going to ask her what she thinks of the song. Afterall, it was written for her.

"okay, but how about the bear?" I asked "How are we going to get food for it?"

"I'll take it to her" Elsa volunteered. I gave her a suspicious look. "I mean, I'm her neighbour and all so...yah"

I nodded not believing her.

~time skip: canoe race~

I was paired up with Astrid. Punzie with Flynn and Jack with Elsa. We were warming up before the race.

"I think Merida likes you" Astrid said as she stretched her arms.

"How do you know?"

"Because when I asked her if she likes you, she hesitated"

I tightened my life jacket "Doesn't mean she likes me."

"There's a chance"

"yeah, a slim chance." I muttered.

Jack's Pov

"Hey Elsa, I can't tighten my life Jacket properly" I complained trying to tighten my life jacket.

"You're not five," she said grabbing the paddles.

"It's really hard. Can you please help me?"

She sighed, "Is it really that hard to do this?" She stood in front of me and started adjusting my life jacket. Her hair smelled like roses. I've never been this close to her.

She looked up, "See?" Her blue lifeless eyes stared at me"Jack?"

"Oh sorry, yeah..um..yeah..um..what?"

"Let's just go"

........

There was an awkward silence in the canoe. Why do I always feel awkward when I'm with her? It's so hard to find an interesting topic.

"Um..Elsa?"

"Yeah" she answered without looking back.

"You know the song Hiccup wrote?"

She nodded "What about it?"

"Who do you think it's written for?"

"Merida, it's so obvious"

"Right!" I shouted "But Merida doesn't find it obvious. She's so clueless!"

"Yeah, she thinks the song was written for Astrid,"

"Seriously?! Hiccup need to be careful. He can't get too close to Astrid or things might turn ugly. Real ugly"

"I guess but I think it's best for them two to figure things out themselves. I'll help but it's up to them" she answered.

I smiled, "You know, you've been talking more compared to when we first met you and you're also willing to help Mer"

"Is that so?" She said quietly, almost as if it was a whisper.

I nodded. You're changing Elsa. You are.
