I shifted my feet uncomfortably, Fucking wedding jitters! Ano bang iniisip mo, Josh? Of course, Nikkie would show up! Na-traffic lang yun. Mapakali ka.

"Bro, chill." Tinapik ako sa balikat ng kapatid ko, siya ang best man ko. Yeah, You're guessing it right. Today is my wedding day. My wedding day with the woman I love.

I held my breath. Shit. I couldn't breathe! Mas malakas pa yung tibok ng puso ko kesa sa piano at choir! Nagsimula ng magmarch yung mga abay. Napangiti ako ng makita ko siya. My princess. Ang cute cute nya in that tiny little dress of hers. I stared with awe as my daughter scattered flowers on the aisle. She roamed her eyes around the church and then she squealed upon seeing me. Natawa ako ng bahagya. I opened my arms then she came running to me. Sinalubong ko siya then I carried her.

"We'll play later. Behave ka princess ha?" I told her then she nodded thrice.

"Yes dy-dy."

I pecked her forehead. "Good girl. Stay with Aunt Jessie and Niel muna." She pouted when I put her down pero sinunod niya parin ako. Tumakbo siya papunta sa pwesto nila Jess. Sinundan ko siya ng tingin nakita ko kung paano sila nagbelatan ni Niel. Nakakatuwa.

Humarap ulit ako sa aisle and as if on cue, my bride entered. Hindi ko alam kung anong mararamdaman ko. Sobrang saya ko at the same time, kinakabahan ako. I never thought we'd be really going to end up together. Nikkie doesn't consider relationships right? Pero nabago ko yun. Napangiti ako. I was able to go past through her barriers. I was able to melt her frozen heart. Ako lang ang nakagawa nun. And just by merely thinking about that, I feel lucky and proud.

Unti-unting naglalakad papalapit si Nikkie with her dad at her side. I was looking in her eyes as she made her way towards me. I couldn't keep the smile off my face as I stared at her with all the love I have for her. She was smiling as well, kumikinang yung mga mata nya. Ang ganda nya. Ang ganda ng misis ko. Pero mas lalo kong nakita yung kagandahan nya nang makarating sila sa harap ko. Ipinasa ng daddy nya yung kamay nya sakin.

"Take care of my daughter. Hurt her or I'll--" pagbabanta sakin ng daddy nya. But he actually doesn't have to do that. Hurting Nikkie would be as if I'm killing myself.

"I wouldn't dare, Sir." He nodded, kissed Nikkie on her forehead then he headed to stand beside Nikkie's mom.

"You are so.. so beautiful, baby." I whispered in her ear. She giggled softly before she whispered back.
