The strays ran to their hiding spots, making sure to hide the best they can just in case if it was my mom at the door. And to my luck, it was.
"Sweetie..." She said as she walked in. "You know, both your father and I are very disappointed in you." "You mean just you..." I whispered. Sadly, she still heard me.
Her eyes narrowed as she crossed her arms. "Don't be like that! I've told you countless times not to have any sort of animal in the house!"
"Mom, what was I supposed to do? They needed help and they even helped me!" I told her, remembering the day in the alley with my stalker.
"I don't care about what they did for you, as if they could even do anything!" She shouted. I heard some small growls come from under my bed. Luckily, she didn't hear them.
"Look, they needed the help, and I was their last chance. If I didn't do anything, they probably would be at the pound right now!"
"That doesn't matter to me. They can rot out there on the streets for all I care. Now listen, your father and I are going to go on another business trip." She said while walking towards my door.
"So while we are away, remember. No. More. Animals. I'll even tell our neighbors before we leave to keep watch on their surveillance cameras just to be sure."
I glared at her while she headed out the door. Before she closed the door, she peeked her head back in. "I love you." She smiled, and with that, she was finally gone.
I let out a frustrated sigh as I walked to the door to lock it, making sure my parents, specifically my mom, won't come into my room again.
"You guys can come out now." I whispered. Slowly, Namjoon, Hoseok, Taehyung, and Jimin came out from under my bed. From the corner of my eye, I saw Seokjin and Yoongi walk out from my closet, which I failed to notice that it was slightly open.
"Where's Jungkook?" At that moment, I saw the small pile of stuffed animals on my bed shift a bit. "Nevermind..." I sighed as I sat on my bed, moving the stuffed animals away from the black ball of fluff.
After I picked him up and set him in the middle of my bed, I mentally groaned. How was I going to let them out of the house now? Maybe during the night while it's dark. I'll have to think about this properly.
*Time Skip to 3:17am*
I woke up, seeing that it was still dark. My parents should be in a deep sleep right now, so I got up and grabbed a hoodie from my closet. By now, five of the seven strays were behind me, Yoongi and Jungkook still half asleep on my bed.
"Are you guys ready to go?" I asked them, and they nodded. Yoongi was barely waking up while stretching, but Jungkook on the other hand had fallen back to sleep.
I smiled and shook my head. Gently, I went to go pick him up in my hands and walked to my bedroom door. Opening the door just a bit, I checked to make sure my parents' bedroom light was off.
Once we knew that the coast was clear, we slowly started to sneak our way out the house. The night air was nice and cool while we walked towards the alley I first found them in. When we finally got there, Jungkook had fully woken up, so I set him down next to Seokjin.
"Alright," I started. "I don't know how long their trip is going to take, but I'll try my best to come and see you when I'm not too busy." They all nodded, but Taehyung looked like he wanted to say something.
"You know... We don't have to meet like this..." He said, but I was confused. "What do you mean? It's the only way we can meet without either of us getting in trouble."
Namjoon then stepped forward. "What he's trying to say is that... We don't have to meet you as strays." I tilt my head in confusion. "So, what, are you telling me that you can turn into full grown men?" I asked, trying to be sarcastic. As if they could...
However, as soon as I said that, instead of looking at seven strays sitting on the floor, I was looking at the legs and feet of seven men.
Slowly, I looked up to see their faces, and all I could think was Oh. My. God!
In front of me stood seven men with extremely handsome features as well as a pair of their animalistic ears. They all held faces of concern until Namjoon spoke up again.
"Yes, we can." He said. Before anyone could say anything else, however, my vision clouded and faded to black.
Was that... Real?
A/N:
Hey! I know, I'm terrible. It's been forever since I last uploaded a chapter, but alas! It's finally here!
I'm sorry to have kept you all waiting, but at some point along in the story I had a major case of writer's block.
But thank you for reading this far! I never really thought anybody would like this story. It makes me smile knowing that I'm entertaining at least a few people.
Again, I'm sorry, and thank you for sticking around. See you in the next chapter~
