Hayley's POV

I walked through the school gates with Cassie and as we were making our way to our lockers, I made awkward eye contact with Ashton. He was talking to Michael, and I noticed Cassie smirk and wave at Michael. It was obvious that something was going on between them, and I was determined to find out what.

When we got to our lockers, I finally asked the question that I wanted to know the answer to, "What are you and Michael?" Cassie blushed. "We are just friends." I rolled my eyes at her. "Ok, ok, ok, fine. We may have...sort of...kissed." She said, trying not to smile.

I could tell that I had the biggest, goofiest smile on my face. I was so happy for Cassie. She has liked Michael for months and I think he has liked her for about to the same time. They have been really close friends for ages and I think on Friday, they finally realized their feelings for each other.

Still smiling, I gave her a hug. "I am really so happy for you!" I cried.

The bell rang and we made our way too our first class which was English. I was glad that I wouldn't have to face Ashton because he wasn't in this class. However, Ryder was, this was going to be interesting.

I sat down in the middle row, next to Cassie and began to take notes off the board.

Suddenly, I felt something hit my shoulder. I turned around to see a folded up note on the floor. I looked up to see Ryder, not smirking, but genuinely smiling at me. I picked up the note and turned back around to see that it read:

I just wanted to say sorry for what I said to you at the party on Friday. I shouldn't have treated you like that because you definitely didn't deserve it.

Also, I don't expect you to say yes to this because I have been a dick to you, and you're way too good for me, but will you be my girlfriend?

-Ryder

My heart skipped a beat. After a couple of seconds, I took in the words and turned around to see Ryder doing his work. He had a nervous look on his face. I quickly scribbled the word "yes" onto the back of the note and threw it back to him. I turned back around and realized that from point on, my life would never be the same.

Ryder's POV

I was swinging on my chair, in the back corner of the classroom when Alex asked me; "truth or dare?" I looked at him and rolled my eyes. He didn't need to ask me, he knew that I always said "dare". "I dare you to ask out Hayley Brooks, and if she says yes, see how long it lasts." He said, with a smirk on his face. I grinned, thinking about how funny this would be. Of course, it was going to end badly, but who cares? I honestly hate Hayley so much. She's an annoying emo who always wears the same black jeans. I was surprised on Friday when I saw her wearing a dress, but it was still black. No surprises there.

Also, the only reason I was talking to her at Josh's party was because I was looking for a hook up and she looked lonely. I regret talking to her because 1. I didn't actually get anything out of it, and 2. Her friend Ashton punched me in the jaw, which surprisingly hurt like hell.

"Yeah alright, fine" I replied to Alex. I ripped a page out of my exercise book and began to write her a note. I was almost certain that she would say yes because I knew she liked me, but I wanted to begin by saying sorry, just to make sure.

I threw it at her and put on a fake nervous look as I turned back down to my book. I waited a while until the note was thrown back to me. I read it, smirking at the fact that she actually said yes.

The amount of eyeliner that she wore didn't hide the fact that she was a weak, desperate girl who would do anything for a guy she liked, which in this case, was me.

Author's Note:

hey guys, sorry I haven't updated in a couple of days, I've been really busy. I am also sorry that this chapter is kind of short, but can you let me know, would you rather a shorter chapter more often or a longer chapter, less frequently.
