Ok, so it just clicked with me that Luke, Calum and Michael went to a different high school than Ashton, but for the sake of this story, they all go to the same school.

And, as you may have assumed, the story is based in Australia and almost every school in Australia has a uniform. However, in this story I wanted the characters to go to a non-uniform school because it helps to describe the character's personalites and styles.

Thank you for understanding :)

Hayley's POV

Ryder Haynes is my boyfriend. The hottest, cockiest and most popular guy in school just asked me out. What the hell is this?

I have just completely thrown my 'shy girl that no one knows' image out the window. Why did I say yes to him? Because I am stupid and vulnerable. I have a very strong feeling that this will end extremely bad but for some reason, I am willing to take that risk.

"Oh my god Hayley!" Cassie almost screamed. "You are going out with Ryder! I am so happy for you!" I looked at her in disbelief. "I thought you hated him?" She replied; "oh I do, but if you want to go out with him, I don't want to be the party-pooper that stops you."

I smiled at her and gave her a hug. She was always really supportive and I was happy that she was being understanding.

Second period was boring. No Cassie, Ryder or Ashton. I just sat in the back of the room listening to music, whilst my maths teacher rambled on about Trigonometry. I was worryed about how Ashton would react to the news. He absolutely hated Ryder so I was assuming that he would hate me for going out with him.

The bell rang, signalling that it was recess. I walked out of the room, and as I was walking through the corridors, a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist. "Hello there". I turned around to see Ryder smiling down at me. He was so tall. I was definitely ok with that.

"Hey" I shyly said, smiling to the ground. He entwined our fingers and led me down the corridor. We sat down next to each other at a table. We got a lot of weird looks and "Oh, get in there!" and "Slaying it!" calls from guys, I assumed were friends with Ryder. We ignored them and I asked him the question that has been on my mind since this morning, "Why did you ask me out? You've hardly talked to me before Friday." He sighed and squeezed my hand tighter. "Why wouldn't I ask you out Hayley? You're the most amazing girl in this world. I've liked you for almost a year but the only reason that I never asked you out was that I was scared you would say no."

I smiled at his answer. Sure he seemed like a dickhead, but I think on the inside, he's really kind and caring.

No one bothered us for the entire 20 minutes of recess. I saw Cassie, she smiled and waved but noticed that I was with Ryder so she kept on walking. However, during my conversation with Ryder, I felt like I was being watched. I felt like someone was observing my every move. I tried to ignore the feeling but it wouldn't go away.

Ashton's POV

I was sitting at a table with Calum, Luke and Michael. They were trying to hold a conversation with me but I couldn't stay focused. My eyes were fixed on Hayley sitting with Ryder.

I honestly felt like a piece of worthless shit. I watched her sit there with someone who she thought loved her, but in reality probably only wanted her for a quick fling, and here I am, sitting by myself when I should be the one going out with her. I should be the one that gets to wrap my arms around her and hold her close. I should be the one that gets to kiss her, not out of lust but out of love. But no, I am the pathetic loser that she doesn't like anymore than a friend, and I probably won't get to talk to her anymore because she'll always be too busy with her lame excuse of a boyfriend.

Tiana's POV

(Haha, you don't know who Tiana is and I do!!! *evilly cackles* ok, I'm done now, bye.)

I listened to my heel tapping on the floor as I sat beside my friends; Chloe and Maddie. I was picking at my salad when I noticed Ryder sitting next to some emo-looking chick. That girl honestly needed to wear a colour other than black. Maybe something like pink.

I had no idea who the chick was, but I was determined to find out. I didn't even care that much about the two of them talking until I noticed their fingers entwined.

My eyes went up to their faces, only to find them centimetres apart. Where they going out? No! they so weren't. Ryder's standards weren't that low. "What are you looking at babe?" Chloe asked me. I scrunched up my face and pointed to Ryder with emo girl. "That" I replied. "Oh my god!" Chloe gasped. "Are they going out? Oh my god if they are going out, I am going to die!" I glared at Chloe and snapped, "Shut up you drama queen, this has nothing to do with you." I rolled my eyes at how pathetic she was.

I stood up from my chair and looked to Maddie and Chloe." I am going to find out what is going on, and if they are going out, I will put an end to it with ease.
