Parker's POV

I wake up and see that the sun hasn't even risen. "Great... Just great..." I mumble to myself. I get up out of bed and head to the bathroom for a shower. I get dressed and head downstairs to chill out before the chaos. I notice the TV is still on in the living room. I walk around the couch to see Mom and Dad cuddled together, sleeping.

I kinda don't want to wake them up, as they look so peaceful. Mom is cuddled into Dad's side, and his tail is wrapped around his waist. Dad's got Mom held with one of his arms, and his head is laying on Mom's; whose is on Dad's shoulder.

I head to kitchen to grab some milk to drink, and some cereal to eat. I hear the TV turn off and Mom walks into the kitchen. "Oh! Didn't see you there." He yawns and starts up the coffee machine. "What time is it?" I look at the clock on the stove, "6:30 in the morning."

Mom sits down, and immediately tenses up. "You alright, Mom?" I go next to him, and see he is shaking slightly. "Get me some...suppressants..." I quickly run upstairs to grab some of my suppressants for him. I head back into the kitchen to see Dad awake, and he is trying to comfort Mom without losing control.

I hand Mom some suppressants, he enchants them, and swallows two. "You good, Mom?" He nods and leans his head against Dad's shoulder. "I'm good... My heats have been out of cycle. I've got to talk with Raina about another vial for me." Dad growls slightly, but I don't really know why. Mom promptly gives him a light slap for his behavior.

"Mom, why did you enchant the pills? Shouldn't they work just fine for you?" He shakes his head, "Regular pills don't work for me. It's one of the things I'm glad none of you inherited...along with others..." He glares slightly at Dad when he says the last part. "What did I do?!"

I hear someone come downstairs, and see James slowly heading towards us. "You good, James?" I help him sit down, on a stool, near the island. Mom gives him a glass of water; in which he quickly drinks it all. "Don't forget to drink water during your heats. I'd rather not have any of my cubs getting hurt because they aren't taking care of themselves."

He sends us back upstairs, and has me wake everyone up for breakfast. After waking everyone up, I head downstairs and hear Mom and Dad talking. "We should really tell them." "I know. I just don't want them seeing this family any different." What are they talking about? What are they not telling us?

Lunch at School

I haven't been able to focus all day. I've been called on it by a few of my teachers too. Just, what are Mom and Dad hiding from us? I'm brought out of my thoughts by someone smacking the back of my head. "Ow! What the hell was that for?" I snarled at Ally.

"Dude, you were spacing out." "Yeah, what's going on?" "Is it the girl with Kalvin?" I'm bombarded by questions from left and right. "Shut up!" I bang my head on the table in frustration. I look to see everyone staring at me; expecting an answer to their questions.

I groan, "My parents are hiding something, but I don't know what though..." "Wait! How do you even know their hiding anything?" "Other than their sex life." I gag at Elena's comment. "I don't need that image in my head!" Garrison glares at Elena, and she is dying of laughter. Well, she is technically already dead though.

"Anyways, I heard them talking about having to tell us something. Mom didn't want us to think of the family any different, so he's hesitant on telling us." Someone gets very giddy, and we all stare at Paris. He looks at me with admiration, at least I think it's admiration.

"Come on. This isn't the first time Paris fanboys over something remotely related to gays." I chuckle at him, "I'm surprised he isn't giddy all the time. With me being gay and all." He stares at me with wide eyes. "Wait! You seriously didn't know he was gay?!" Garrison is now full out laughing, and Elena looks like she's about to pass out.

"First off! People don't have a name-tag saying their sexuality!" I join in on the laughter this time. "It is so obvious! I don't come into school for a week, twice in a year. I go into heat during that time." "Plus he has drooled over a couple of guys before." I growl at Ally, but it's true. "How should I know any of this? I'm human, so I don't have increased scent of anything."

Garrison speaks up, "But, you've been hanging out with two Weres, a Vampire, and a Merfolk." Paris tries to rebuttal, but is cut off by the bell ringing. "Welp, see ya losers! I'm off to finish hell, and then talk to my parents!" I run off to my locker, and pick my Physics book and my sketchbook.

I run down the halls, and toward my sociology class. Next thing I know, I'm on the floor with a splitting headache. "Ow..." I hear someone groan, and see another guy on the floor. "Shit! Sorry!" I quickly get up and head over to him. "Are you okay? I wasn't watching where I was going!" I help him sit up, and notice papers around the hall. Some kids help grabbing the papers and books from the floor.

He looks me in the eyes, and I see that they are hazel with specs of red. I get a little lost in his eyes because he is snapping his fingers in front of me. "You alright? You were just staring for a while." I blush slightly, "Yeah. Just making sure you weren't hurt." He chuckles deeply, and I kinda like the sound of that. "You're pretty cute when you're blushing like that."

I blush even more, and help him up off the floor. "So what's your name, cutie?" I smile slightly at him, "Name's Parker." He nods, "I'm Taylor. Mind if I see you after school?" The bell rings before I can reply. "Now I'm late for Sociology." I start to head off toward, "Meet me in the parking lot, pretty boy!" I run off towards my class before I get into even more trouble.

After School

I'm talking with Ally and Paris in the parking lot, when I spot Taylor. I excuse myself from the conversation, and jog over to him. "Hey. I'm so sorry for running into earlier. I've had a lot on my mind recently." He grabs my hand, and I feel slight sparks. "Why don't you hang out at my house. My parents wouldn't mind." I blush a bit, "I have to talk with my mom, but I wouldn't mind."

I pull out my phone and call my mom. "Hey, Parker. What do you need since you mainly call when you need something." "I was going to ask if I could go to a friend's house." I hear him sigh on the other end. "I want to meet them. I can tell it's someone new." I groan, "Fine. We'll be right over." I end the call and turn towards Taylor. "Let's go. My mom wants to meet you first though." I open a portal and pull him through it.
