The Curse of Time (On Hiatus)

Chapter 1 - Return

Parker's POV

"Parker! Get the fuck up! Mom made breakfast, and you know he doesn't always make breakfast!" My older sister yells at me and throws a pillow at my face. I sleepily sit up and try to rub my drowsiness out of my eyes. "I'm up. I'm up. Just let me get dressed and I'll meet you down there." She rushes out of the room to get breakfast, and I smell Mom's breakfast tacos.

I quickly get dressed and make my way downstairs, into the kitchen. "Mornin' Parker, glad you didn't sleep in again." I grab a plate of bean and cheese tacos, and head to the dining table to eat with my siblings. I notice James, the oldest, isn't sitting at the table. I sit down with my food, "Where's James? I thought he would've already taken our shares of Mom's food."

"He's in heat right now, so no school or anything for a while." Mom walks into the dining area, and begins to eat a lot of food. We all kinda just stare at him, "What?" Laura speaks up, "Are you pregnant, or something? Cause you're eating quite a lot..."

"You would've known if your mother was pregnant. It is very obvious when a Were is pregnant." Dad heads up behind Mom, and gives him a quick kiss on his ears. A lot of us gag at the sight of our parents being so lovey dovey. "You all can be quiet. Anyways, you guys need to get ready for school." "But we've got 30-" Natalie tries to rebuttal.

"Yes, and I don't have time to waste. I'm training the pack soon, so up an at 'em!" We all groan in frustration, and Mom gives us a nasty glare; with his eyes glowing slightly red. We all rush to get ready because our Mom may look weak, but damn can he be scary when he wants. We're all downstairs and Mom has a portal ready for us to get to school.

We arrive to school, and pretty much dissipate into the crowd. Everyone knows we're all related, but we don't like to acknowledge the fact very much. "Parker! Wait up!" I see Elena run up to me. I patiently wait for her to catch her breath. "You know for a vampire, you get out breath easily." She hisses at me, and I just laugh at her. "I saw that James isn't here. Where is he?" I sigh, "You need to stop your crush on my older brother."

"But, he is just so cute." I gag slightly at her. "Gross... Anyways, you two can't be mates. He's a submissive, and in heat right now." She whines a bit, and I've tuned her out. "I'll see you at lunch." I leave her in the hall, and head to my first class of hell.

At Lunch

I look for Elena and my group of friends in the cafeteria. I spot them and sit down next to Garrison, the future alpha. "Hey guys, so what are we talking about today?" Collin speaks up, "Other than Elena crushing over your older brother...nothing much." I groan because Elena needs to stop with her damn crush. "Okay. Garrison, you're becoming Alpha in a couple months. How you feel about that?"

"I'm excited, but I need to find my mate. Hopefully before I take over the pack." We all chuckle at him, as he blushes from his romantic fantasies. After talking for a while, I spot Kalvin chatting with a girl. "Ally, do you know who that is?" I point towards the girl, and she looks towards their direction. "I don't know. Maybe she's your brother's mate?" "Doubtful. Why would he hide his mate from his family anyways?" She shrugs and continues putting stuff in her locker.

End of School

I meet up with Laura, Reagan, Lowell, and Skylar in the front of the school. "Reagan, can you help me with some Algebra homework at home?" Skylar pleads with her eyes, and Reagan gives in. "Puppy dog eyes always work for her..." Laura and Lowell nod in agreement with me. "I mean...they work better for Lowell. He's the youngest and an omega, so Mom and Dad always give in." I smirk at Skylar, while everyone else joins into the conversation.

I spot Kalvin getting ready to create a portal home, and stop him before he does. "What do you want?" "So who's the girl?" He looks at me with an eyebrow raised, "What're you talking about?" I mentally face-palm because Kalvin gets annoying with his damn antics. "You were with a girl at lunch. Don't try to say it was just a girl cause you had a look in your eyes for her."

His face was still expressionless, but I knew I had him cornered. "Is she your mate? Cause you've never really looked at anyone like that." At this point I've kinda broken him, and he brings me over to a bench that is out of sight. "Yes, she is my mate. If you tell anyone I will kill you." His canines have grown out slightly, and his eyes have somewhat turned green. "You know you've got to tell Mom and Dad. Unless, Mom already found out about it."

He growls at me, and we head back to everyone else. But, they've all gone home and we get a portal home too. We enter the kitchen, and Mom is not happy with us whatsoever. "I've told you all not to portal into the kitchen!" "Sorry, Mom..." We walk past him, and head to the living room. Mom walks into the living room, "Food's ready!" Mom looks towards Kalvin and I, "Kalvin, I want to meet her soon."

Kalvin sits there speechless, as am I. "H-How d-" "I'm your mother, and I'm a wizard. You can't hide anything from me." He heads back to the kitchen, and has us get the table ready for food. After dinner, "Parker, can you take some food up to James." I nod, but he hands me something else as well. "Have him apply this salve onto his chest too. I'll talk to him later tonight."

I head upstairs to James' room, and knock on his door. The response I get is a whimper of pain and pleasure. "James, I've got food for you, and some salve that Mom said to use." I slowly open the door to see James writhing on his bed. "Damn, it hit you hard didn't it?" I place the food on the bedside table, and sit down on the bed.

I apply the salve to his chest, and smell his heat going away slightly. "What is that stuff?" I just shrug at his question, and start to head for the door. "Thanks for the food, Parker." I close the door behind me, and accidentally bump into Mom. "Sorry, Mom. Didn't see you there." "Don't worry. Head to bed cause I don't want any of you all to be complaining in the morning."

"Mom, I'm 17 an-" He growls at me, "And I don't care. I want all my kids to have an education. Now, get to bed before I do something I'll regret." I quickly nod my head in fear, and run for my room. I get ready for bed and slowly drift off to sleep. Before I completely succumb to slumber, I get a glimpse of a someone with a fireball.

A/N: First chapter done! Sorry it took so long to get this out, but New Year and I've been a bum recently. It took forever to get this done, but I did it!
