One Week Later

I stood in front of the mystical Tsubaki, the most prized weapon in the Sect. It was glowing a bright violet, and wisps of purple smoke came out of the tips. Whispers came from it, as if it was begging to be used. I broke open the case, and took the weapon. It seemed to be made of some type of metal, but it looked far to beautiful to be a weapon. It felt just the right weight, and I could wield it easily. I looked across the room to find a strap.

Finally. Free me, said a voice. I looked at the purple disk and found that the voice was coming from within. "Tsubaki, what do you mean? I already took you from the case."But before I could converse with the demons, I could hear the authorities rushing towards the temple.

Thinking quickly, I climbed the rope where I slid down from and reached the ceiling. The glowing Tsubaki being my only source of light, I ran far from the temple. I could not see Sakura or Gantetsu. They must have left already. You should be the one with the honor. You have me, after all, hissed the voice again. Great, it could read my mind. I held the weapon out, it's ghostly light creating a path for me.

"Tsubaki, you don't happen to know a path to the traitor, do you?" I asked.

Well, yes I do, but you must do something for me first. To be more specific, do more for the demon that is speaking to you, it spoke. You must make an oath.

"Well alright." Taking the weapon, I made a thin gash on my right arm, drawing blood. "From now on, I am sworn to the demon in finishing this mission. I will find and kill the traitor." Apparently the demon was satisfied, as I could see a trail of ghostly purple mist. It stretched forward towards the sky.

"I guess there is no turning back now," I said, and started my journey to the unknown.
