In the morning, I wake up at 9am, and I notice Cloud is gone. I look to the place where he put his shirt and weapon placement, and they are gone also. I get up and shake off the sleep, and then I walk to the front of the church. I look outside. I only see my Camaro shining in the early morning sun. The shine is practically blinding. I squint my eyes and I don’t see Fenrir.

I go back inside and I sit on the bed, thinking.

“Where did you go?” I ask myself, looking over.

I look slightly up and I see a note on the small, little table sitting close to the bed.

I lean over and pick it up, it reads:

Destiny

I just went for a drive. I’ll be back.

I just left to think. Don’t eat though,

I’m bringing back something for you

two. I’ll be back soon.

-Cloud

I stare at the name for a second then I look up. I hear Anna come down the stairs.

“Good morning. What’s up?” Anna asks, noticing me just sitting on the bed.

“Nothing. Cloud left this morning. I’m just reading the note he left.” I say, a bit sad.

“Oh. I heard you arguing last night. Are you ok?” she asks concerned.

“Yeah. I just got mad at him cause he didn’t tell me Zack was going to ask you out. He said that Zack told him not to tell me. Zack wanted you to tell me.” I say, feeling sad.

“Oh…but you really shouldn’t be mad. I don’t see anything that you should be mad at. Zack told him to keep his mouth shut, so he did.” Anna says, pointing out.

“Yeah. Your right.” I say, feeling a rush of guilt now. “I need some fresh air, I’m going to go for a drive.” I say getting up and grabbing my cloths.

“Alright. Where are you going?” Anna asks. “You know, just in case Cloud comes back and wonders were you are.”

“I’ll probably go outside of Edge. In the wasteland. I have my phone if you or Cloud needs to call.” I say.

“Alright.” Anna says, she stands up and goes to the kitchen.

I stop in front of the bathroom. “Oh yeah. Cloud wrote not to eat. He’s bringing back something.”

“Awwwe…alright.” she says, heading up the stairs to her room.

I get changed and I grab my weapon holder and my sword. I put the sword behind me and I go to the stairs.

“Kay Anna. I’m gone.” I yell up.

“Ok.” Anna yells back down.

I leave and put the sword in the back. I get in the driver’s seat and I drive off. I drive out to Edge without seeing Fenrir or Cloud.

I look around through the windshield and I see a cliff that I can go on top without a problem. I sped off in that direction. I customized my engine to go about 431 miles per hour, and can reach from 0-100km/h in 2.3 seconds. Meaning it has about 1200 horsepower.

I get to the top and slow down. I get out and grab my sword from the back. I put it behind me then make sure I have my phone which is in my left pocket. I make sure it’s on and I walk to the edge of the cliff. I stop about a metre away from the edge. I look off in the distance, towards Edge.

“I feel like there’s so much to think about, but there really isn’t. Anna is right, there is no reason for me to be mad. He didn’t do anything wrong,” I say, talking to myself. “ I wish I could just take it back.” I say, tilting my head back, now looking up at the sky.

A couple of minutes later, my phone rings the normal phone ring, in my pocket. I quickly get it and flip it open.

“Hello?” I ask.

“Hey. Cloud just called Zack and is wondering where you are.” Anna says.

“I’m on top of a cliff in the wasteland.” I respond.

“She’s on top of a cliff, in the wasteland.” I hear her tell someone in the background, I’m guessing Zack is there. “She’s fine.” Anna says.

I look back towards Edge. On the ground below, I see three men coming my way on motorcycles.

“Anna? Anna?” I say, backing up and running to my car, sort of in a hurry.

“Yeah.” she says.

“I got to go. I’ll call you back in a minute. Don’t call back. I’ll call you. Please.” I say, getting in the car and bringing it to life.

“Why? What’s wrong” she asks concerned.

“Because, there are three men heading my way from below the cliff, I got to round them. I’m going to listen to there conversation though. I have this odd feeling they have something, they look suspicious. Please just trust me. Don’t call and tell Cloud not to call either. Please.” I say backing up and parking my car behind a rock that completely hides my car, but I’m still with in hearing distance.

I hear their motorcycles ride up, just where I was.

“Please Anna. I got to go. Bye.” I say quickly and I snap the phone shut.

I quietly get out of the car and peer around the rock. Their backs are totally against me. They are three silver headed guys, one has short hair that is kind of spiked up, he’s on the left then the middle guy who has shoulder length hair and the third, which is on the right has hair that goes down to his mid-back.

“Hey Kadaj. Is that where big brother is?” the guy on the right asks.

“Yeah.” the guy in the middle says.

“Will he be glad to see us?” the guy on the right asks again.

“Not a chance.” the guy that was just called ‘Kadaj’, the guy in the middle responds.

“Don’t cry Yazoo.” the guy on the left says.

“But mother is with him.” the guy on the right says.

“Maybe not.” the guy in the middle says.

“Uuuugghh.” the left guy says.

“Don’t cry Loz.” the guy in the right says.

“Hold on. Save the tears for later. We need to focus.” the middle guy says. “We need to go back to our base to get ready for the attack.” he continues.

The other 2 guys nod and they drive off. In the opposite way of Edge.

I get in the car and I drive off back to Edge. I flip open my phone and call Anna.
