Our Unexpected Life 2

Chapter X

40 minutes later. We arrive at the Forgotten City. The forest is all dark with the trees and bushes glowing white. All of the vegetation, except for the grass is glowing. 2 km into the forest, I decide to pull over and park the car. Cloud still drive’s ahead. Suddenly, I see Loz and Yazoo appear a mile in front of Cloud, shooting at him. Cloud gets out his swords and rides faster towards them.

A bullet flies at me and I quickly grab my sword and block it. Then look back up at Cloud. I see all the kids step down from the trees in front of Cloud. He turns Fenrir but wipes out on the ground trying to stop, he ends up doing a barrel role and Fenrir spins towards Loz and Yazoo at the back. Loz stops it with his foot and Kadaj hops over it.

 I see Cloud trying to get up but Kadaj stands over him.

“I’m glad you could make it.” Kadaj says.

My arm starts to hurt and I grab it with my other hand, which also has my sword in it. So I can only touch my arm with a couple of fingers, so I decide to stick it behind me. I look back at Cloud and the others.

“I only came for the kids.” Cloud says.

I look and I see Loz notice me, I see a smirk then lightning fast, he appears behind me and grabs both my arms roughly, squeezing enough so I can’t move. He walks me over to the group, I grunt in pain on the way because my arm was hurting badly, which I now close my eyes. 

“See this man. He’s our big brother but alas, in our happy flock. He’s what you call a black sheep.” Kadaj says, to the kids.

Kadaj raises his sword then hears someone behind him. He turns and see’s Loz bringing me over. Loz stops and pulls me to stop, tugging at my arm.

“Ah. What do we have here?” Kadaj says, stepping closer to me.

“She was in the background. Where he came from.” Loz says, mentioning towards Cloud.

Kadaj raises his blade and puts it under my chin. I feel him nudge it up, causing me to lift my head. I open my eyes and look at him, I swallow hard than I look at Cloud. Kadaj notices that and follows where I’m looking at. 

“Ah, so. Are you together?” Kadaj asks, creepily.

 Neither of us say anything.

“Answer me.” Kadaj says, getting irritated.

“Don’t hurt her.” Cloud says, from the ground looking up at me.

Kadaj looks at him to me.

“I think I should.” he says, smiling. Then walks towards me more. He’s a foot and a half away from me. “Don’t you think?” he asks me.

I don’t respond and just close my eyes. I don’t know what happens, but I feel Loz let go of my arm and then I feel something sharp on my lower back. I feel this sudden surge of strength rush through me so I use it. I open my eyes sharply and I quickly throw my arm up and grab my sword, ripping it out from behind me. I pull away and try to hit either Loz or Kadaj, but they jump away, as fast as I try to strike.

Cloud also takes action, he grabs his sword and tries to hit Loz, who jumps away quickly. Yazoo shoots at Cloud, but he blocks then Loz tries to attack, then Cloud blocks again. Loz is able to hit shock him in the stomach with his Dual Hound. So a battle between Loz, Yazoo and Cloud is occurring so I go and fight Kadaj.

The battle lasts for 3 minutes between Kadaj and I. He knocks me away and Cloud happens to fly in, from jumping off the side of one of the trees, and starts attacking. I’m about to get up but then feel a powerful shock on my back, causing me to fall. Loz tries to do a fist pound on me, but I role out of the way and get up quickly. Yazoo shoots and I block, but one skims past my right arm, causing a pretty deep scratch and also makes me drop my sword and Loz rushes over. He lifts me up and shocks me in the chest causing me to become very weak.
