“Hello?” Anna answers.
“Hey.” I say, simply.
“Ok. What was that?” Anna asks, sounding a bit creeped out.
“I’ll tell you when I get back. I’m on my way.” I say.
“Ok. See you in a few.” she says.
“Kay. Bye.” I say. I shut my phone and put it in my pocket.
20 minutes later. I arrive back at the church. I get out and I notice Zack’s jeep on the other side of Fenrir, which I figured he was here and Cloud is also back. I grab my sword and I put it on my back. I walk in, walking through the main floor then walk through the walk-through door and see Cloud pacing back and forth across the end of the bed. Cloud looks up and sees me standing there. He comes over and wraps his armsaround me tightly and picks me up then puts me down and kisses me, putting his forehead to mine.
“Are you alright?” Cloud asks, still holding me, but I can feel him trying to take off my sword holder.
“Yeah. I’m fine. Are you?” I ask him, looking into his deep blue eyes.
He manages to take off the holder and he puts it aside, and leans back over.
“Yeah. I just...got really worried about-” Cloud says painfully.
I can tell he didn’t want to think of losing me. I know he wasn’t going to finish it and he didn’t want to but I knew what he meant. To get the topic out of his head I decided to kiss him. He seemed kind of surprised but he kisses me back. Then I put my forehead against his again.
“You’re not going to lose me. I’m here. You don’t need to worry about me.” I say smiling.
“I know, but I still do.” he says, taking his forehead off mine and stroking the back of his hand against my cheek.
I hear Zack and Anna come down and Cloud let’s me go just in time. I grab my sword and I put it in its proper place. I hang the holder up, then I sit down on the bed and fall back.
“Hey. Ok what happened?” Anna asks. Finally downstairs.
“A lot of stuff happened.” I say. “Where do I start?”
I sit up and Cloud hands me a tea that I guess he or Zack bought.
“Zack bought us all coffees, and Anna a hot chocolate.” Cloud explains, sitting beside me.
“Like start. What three guys?” Anna says, holding her hot chocolate.
“Well, I was standing on the cliff when you called. I looked down and I saw three men on motorcycles, riding my way. After I hung up. They came up and I noticed they all had silver hair.” I say.
I can sense Cloud’s eyes on me now. I’m guessing he automatically thought of Sephiroth.
“One had long hair, down to his mid-back. Another had shoulder length and the last had short, and was kind of spiked up. I learned their names were Yazoo, Kadaj and Loz. Kadaj I’m guessing is the leader cause he was in front and he carried himself as one. I also learned that there looking for someone known as “big brother” and “mother”, and that they went back to their base to prepare for their attack. On Edge.” I say. “I don’t know when though. We just need to be prepared.” I say looking up at them.
There was silence for a moment.
“Holy shit. Holy shit.” Anna randomly says. Zack goes over to her and grabs her hand.
I smile and that second my phone rings.
I take it out and look at the number, and I recognize its Rufus. I flip it open and stand up. I head to the other side of the room. Cloud slightly follows.
“Hello?” I ask, plugging my other ear.
“Hello Destiny. We need you to come in. Rufus has some news for you, and if Anna and Cloud are there, bring them in too. They would want to know this.” Reno says.
“Uh, ok. Is it alright if Zack tags along?” I ask.
“Zack, as in Zack Fair? Yeah, he can too. We are at Healin Lodge.” he says.
“Ok. I’ll be there as fast as I can.” I say.
I hang up the phone and put it in my back pocket.
“Who was that?” Cloud asks.
“That was Reno, saying Rufus has some news for us and they want us to come in.” I say.
“Alright.” Anna says.
We get ready to go. We take my car and I drive. Cloud is in the passenger, Zack and Anna are in the back. We get in the car and we drive off towards Healin Lodge. Which is about a 30 minute drive East of Edge.
