Our Unexpected Life 2

Chapter XVI

By the time Anna and I are up there. We were close to being too late. Sephiroth had Cloud pined to a cement wall on the floor again, the wall was just a broken piece of ruble. Sephiroth stabbed Cloud right through the right shoulder and he looks quite weak.

“Sephiroth!” I yell out, readying my sword.

 Sephiroth turns his head. He smiles.

“It’s you. Did you come to save him?” Sephiroth asks.

“Possibly. I may have came just to kick your ass.” I say, with a smirk on my face challenging him. 

“You really think you could?” He asks pulling out his sword from Clouds right shoulder and readies it to strike at me.

“I think I could.” I say, doing the same. “I have enough will power and strength.”

“No, don’t do it!” Cloud shouts weakly.

Sephiroth smiles and charges at me. I block and attack him back. After a few minutes, Sephiroth and I lock swords.

“You’re stronger than last time. Where did you find this strength?” He asks creepily.

“Not about to tell you.” I say then shove him back.

“Anna! Wake Cloud up. Make sure he’s ok.” I shout.

“Ok. What should I give him?” Anna asks. “If he needs a boost that is.” 

Sephiroth comes back and attacks me again.

“I don’t know. Water or something liquid.” I say, blocking an attack. “Oh. There’s an elixir in my pocket. Give him it.” 

“Ok” She says getting ready to catch it.

I shove Sephiroth back again and I quickly grab the tiny bottle of elixir and toss it to Anna. She catches it and runs to Cloud. Sephiroth catches me off guard but I block his attack then he does a sneak attack by kicking me in the gut then kicking me to the wall and I slam against it. He then stabs me in the chest, right below my heart, making me grunt in pain.

“No!” I hear Cloud yell from behind Sephiroth.

Sephiroth pulls his sword out and smiles. I fall back against the wall and put my hand over the cut, trying to stop the bleeding. I take slow shallow breaths, so I don’t force too much blood to circulate. Cloud fights Sephiroth furiously, blood boiling from Sephiroth hurting me. Anna comes over and kneels beside me.

“Are you alright?” She asks, looking over me.

“Hardly.” I say, choking over blood. I lean to my right and spit and a bunch of blood appears on the ground then I sit back again.

“Who knew? That I may die here.” I say closing my eyes.

“Don’t say that. You’re not going to die. I’m not allowing it.” Anna says, refusing.

“How do you know? I may, but if I’m lucky, I may just live.” I say, feeling weak from blood loss. My whole shirt is soaked with blood and I can feel myself growing even weaker.

Anna doesn’t say anything. Knowing that I’m right. I look to the right and I see Cloud coming over. His sword in his hand, but the blade is behind him by his waist. He reaches me and kneels beside me on my right, and puts his sword down beside him.

“Destiny… Are you ok? Please tell me you ok!” Cloud asks, panicking a bit.

“I don’t know. I’m feeling really, really weak though.” I say, again sort of chocking on blood. I lean a bit forward and spit. Then I lean back again.

Cloud grabs my hand. The one that was over my cut and sees how bad it is. From the corner of my eye, I see the sunset. It’s big, bright and full of beautiful colours of red, yellow and orange. Cloud leans forward and kisses my forehead then rest his against mine. I look into his eyes and I see his eyes full of tears, but he is refusing them to drop. I grab Anna’s hand and squeeze it then she squeezes back. I can feel my breath getting slower and my heart not beating as heavy.

“No. No. I’m not letting you go. What am I supposed to do? I can’t do this without you Destiny…” Anna says, tears going down her face now.

 Cloud takes his forehead off mine and I turn to Anna.

“I don’t know. I don’t have any potion or elixir. We used my only one and last one on Cloud.” I say. Also getting a bit of tears in my eyes.

“I have an elixir and a potion stashed in Fenrir. As well as a phoenix down.” Cloud says, having a bit more hope.

 At that second, Anna’s cell goes off. She takes it out and looks at the number. 

“It’s Zack.” She says then answers it. “We’re up at the top of the Shinra building. Destiny is dieing. Where are you?” 

“Perfect. Cloud has a potion, elixir, and a phoenix down in Fenrir. Can you get them?” Anna asks, sniffling.

“Ok. Here’s Cloud.” She says then passes the phone to Cloud.

“Zack?” Cloud asks.

“Yeah. Their in the side where it comes out, where the swords are. There should be a bag. A black bag, their in there.” Cloud says.

“You got it? Good. Ok hurry. She doesn’t have long.” Cloud says.

“Ok, bye.” He says then hangs up and hands the phone back to Anna.

He turns to me then sits beside me and wraps his arms around me.

“It’s ok. Zack’s coming with them.” Cloud says trying to comfort me, but seems to be trying to more comfort himself and Anna.

20 minutes later, Zack makes it up. At this point I feel really, really weak. So weak I’m having difficulty opening my eyes.

“I made it. Sorry I took so long.” Zack says, breathing heavy. “Wow. She doesn’t look well.” 

He sees Anna beside me and sits beside her. He wraps his arms around her, to try to comfort her.

Cloud takes his arms away, and takes the bag. He pulls out the phoenix down, elixir, and potion then turns to me.

“You need to drink this. Both of these. Drink all of it.” Cloud orders. “Anna can you help her.” 

“Yeah sure.” Anna says.

She takes the bottles and helps me drink them. After a minute, I finish, but I don’t feel any better.

“Ok. Now it seems it needs a boost.” Cloud says trying to think.

At that moment, Cloud decides to lay me down. I lay there with my head on the cement, up by the wall I was leaning on. Cloud just pulled me down. Not literally, he picked me up, and set me down gently.

“You alright?” Cloud asks, leaning over blocking the sun.

I try to look up but I can’t. Then I suddenly go under, fall unconscious. 

“Destiny! Destiny! Wake up… Damn.” Cloud says, sounding like he’s rushing. 

I can faintly hear Anna gasp and sob as well. Then I feel sudden pressure on my chest.

“Activate the phoenix down!” Zack says, trying to comfort Anna and guide Cloud. 

“I’m trying.” Cloud says panicking and rushing, then I pass out.
