QOTD: If you could become an object for a day, what would you choose?

The ride to our designated location was full of occasional smacking and crunches from the long waited feast that is lunch. Nate offered to drive you, since you were still recovering from being possessed and kidnapped all in the same month.

Nate was nice enough to buy a tender, juicy fresh burger with a side of sea salted fries.
Dark's knife wobbled within the coaster as Nate's smooth driving suddenly turns rough.

"Are you okay?" Nate asks with concern.
Still munching on your fries, you mumble, "Everything still hurts but I manage."

The burns from the hot soup haven't been painful, but the nasty scar still remains. The farther you and Nate travelled, the less people there were roaming the streets and more trash polluted the sidewalk's pavement.

You were starting to get nervous.
"Are you sure we didn't miss a turn?"
Without a moment of thought, Nate replies,
"If we're going to be battling demons, you might as well ask someone who has met one."
In a blink of an eye, Nate's irises gave off a gentle glow of dark violet. As a second went by, the color was gone from view.

You chose to remain quiet about the strange phenomenon, afraid to be put in a mental asylum with pills being shoved inside your throat for eternity. You were absentmindedly gapping at the astounding clouds painted hues of pinks, yellows, and oranges as you pass by each building more broken-down than the next.

A calming sensation washed over you when Nate turns on the Hip-Hop Radio Station to a reasonable volume. The beat of the drums matched with your steady heartbeat. Nate could easily tell that you were drifting off. He smirks with genuine happiness and comfort around you.

But, he still didn't want to warm up to you.
He couldn't, wouldn't.
It wasn't how he planned at all.

The evil within this world surrounded them, in an endless loop of deception slowly driving you mad.
But, Nate could save you.
WILL save you.

Your soul hasn't been taken by the demons offering riches and desires beyond humanity's view. There is still time.

"Uh, Hey Nate?"
He shakes his head out of the intense vision he just had.
He takes a look to see your expression.
You appear frightened.

Not by him, but of something outside of the car.
"What is it?"
"That...house. It's covered in some black smog."

The male's face light up with excitement for an unknown reason.
"Ah! We're here!"
Scrunching your eyebrows, you raise the question,
"We're here to stop demons from invading California's population and the rest of the world with a gas house?"
Nate stops grinning, but instead releases several obnoxious giggles.

He wipes a fake tear off his cheek as he parks along side the building.
"Of course not. I have something better in mind."

"Which is...?"

Of course, Nate's trail of thought was intruded by chimes of silver bells jingling as the door to the small establishment opens. A young lady holds the door open for you and Nate with a monotone expression.

Her eyebrows, nails, and simple black poncho complemented her hair, while the sparkling mascara covers most of her eyelids with a shade of grape purple. Although, she seemed quite strange, her long locks of a thick purple gradient gave a more positive vibe to the mysterious girl's persona.

 "Great to see you, bud

"Great to see you, bud." Her extremely raspy voice coughed up a few words to Nate.

Before he could step a foot into the cramped building, you grasp his sleeve and gently pull it towards you.
"I'm not going in until you answer my question."

"(Y/n) meet Aster. Aster meet (Y/n)."
Aster waves at you with her pitch black nails.
"She's....a seer."
