~THE NIGHT BEFORE
Cassiopeia
"Isaac!"
Isaac looked behind. "What is it?" He still didn't stop running, which was just annoying.
"I'm coming with!"
"What? Why?"
"I'm helping!"
Finally, he stopped his tracks and turned around completely. With a smirk on his face, he asked me, "Really? How?"
I only stopped running once I was completely in front of him. I gasped for breath, holding onto my knees shakily. "I...will do my best...with everything I can possibly do to assist. Only the moral and legal ones, of course."
Isaac let out a fit of laughter. "Hilarious of you to assume that I'd tell you to do something immoral. Although...that's unfortunate."
I stood up straight and hit his arm with a tint of red on my cheeks. "Pervert!"
He stopped laughing and only smiled.
"Then, I guess, now, we're officially accomplices. There are only very few deals that we're going to have in order for everything between this partnership to move smoothly;"
In the middle of the street, with dim and rusty streetlights serving as our only sources of light, under the moonless night, we discussed the rules we had to follow.
"First of all, no one will doubt each other. We'll trust each other with what we know, and everything we say is the truth, per se. Trust is vital in a relationship, no matter what it is, right? So we'll both do just that; trust. Basically; no lying and being lied to,"
While he said this, his eyes were sharp and stern. As if he really, really wanted his words to come through. Because of his persuasive eyes, I could only listen as I stared into them.
"Second of all, no one will be disclosing any of what we share with each other. No information or secret or event that we share with each other will go out to anyone. Had I killed someone in front of you, you will not scream for help, or tell anyone I killed whats-their-face. Okay?"
I hung my head a little low. "That's kinda extreme..."
"Please, we're dealing with a murderer who killed more than a single person here, sweetheart. That's nowhere near. But are we clear with that?"
I shrugged. "Alright."
"Third of all, you will listen to anything I tell you. I won't be asking you to do something that you don't want to unless it's a vital mission. I won't be asking you to kill yourself if I didn't have any plan to save you once you start with my command. Basically, everything I'll tell you to do is going to be well thought out, and you can expect that you'll never deal with unnecessary pain with anything I tell you to do. And of course, vice versa. Tell me to jump, and I'll jump. But make sure I'll survive in that jump."
I nodded.
"Lastly...,"
I looked into his eyes more.
