Kenpachi Zaraki x Reader (Fanfiction)

Chapter 5

"Why does he want to see me?" you asked following Isane to the first squad barracks.

"Taicho didn't say, she just told me to tell you." you nodded making your way to the Head Captain.

When the both of you stood before the wooden doors you stopped. Isane turned. "Is something wrong." you looked down. "I-I have to admit, I'm kinda scared. What could the Head Captain want with me.." your hands were trembling. Isane placed her hand on your shoulder. 

"(L/N)-san, you don't have to be afraid, if anything you should be happy. I honestly think Head Captain is going to compliment you for being so brave." You looked away worriedly. 

"Y-Yeah but I injured you, I could have hurt the other captains w-who came to help. I..I could have hurt Yuki.." your hands clenched. Isane eyes lowered. "You risked your life even though you could have died to save someone. I don't care what anyone says, you're brave (Y/N)." you looked at her in awe.

"You really think so?" she nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely. "

You smiled. "A-Alright." gathering up all your courage you pushed open the door. Isane followed you in step. When you entered the door closed, all eyes in the room turned your way. It made you even more nervous having all eyes on you.

"A-Ano, you wanted to see me Head Captain." your hands burrowed behind your back as you tried your best to stand firm. All the Captains were lined up accordingly waiting for the Head to speak.

"Yes, I've been told of your previous fight and I must say I'm impressed. You're not even a seated member yet you were using Captain level skills."

Flustered you gave a smile. "T-Thank you Head Captain, I-I was just trying to deal with the problem."

"Don't be so modest (L/N)-san. Head Captain she held her own against four other captains. She really is incredible!" Isane praised. Yamamoto stood holding his stick. "Is that so? You fought off captains."

"Y-yes and I'm really sorry about that. I-I wasn't really conscious,  I-I wouldn't have attacked if I knew it was them." you stuttered out. Hitsugaya's eyes widened. "Are you saying you fought them unconscious?!" Jushiro laughed with a nod. "She did. "

You fidgeted with your fingers unsure of what to do. When you looked up your eyes met with Kenpachi's, he was still smirking at you. Cheeks cherry red you looked away, trying to calm your heart beat.

"The reason I asked you here was to appoint you a new position." your eyes shot up at his statement.

"You will be the new third seat of squad four, working alongside Kotetsu-san. " you couldn't believe what you were hearing. Isane looked at you with excitement.

"A-Are you serious!?!" he nodded with a small smile. Your eyes welled up as you bowed appreciatively. "A-ARIGATOU HEAD CAPTAIN!!" you beamed. He nodded as he continued to speak.

"However, I would like you to undergo a series of training." you stopped looking at him in wonder.

"You have an alarming amount of reiatsu, with the right training you could surpass the levels of a captain. We also want to avoid your last brawl with your fellow captains."

"I-I understand. Who will I be training under?"

"Kenpachi will be your trainer, since you lack in close combat it's the best to get you started in it. You're remarkable at Kido spells, I believe you only require guidance in combat training. "

"Okay, that sounds- wait a minute.." you froze. "Z-Zaraki-taicho is my trainer!!!" you squeaked out frightfully. Yamamoto nodded.

Isane was a bit concerned when your body turned pale, sweat running down your face profusely. "I-It's alright (L/N)-san, he won't do anything to dangerous."

You turned in her direction stiffly. "H-Head C-Captain I-I don't think Z-Zaraki-taicho is the best choice.." you said shaking like a leaf. The other captains sweatdropped.

"Keh, you'll be as strong as me by the time we're finished." you jumped when he was suddenly at your side. In one swift movement he picked you up throwing you over his shoulder nonchalantly. "Let's get started!!"

"N-NO WAY PUT ME DOWN!!!" you shrieked.

"H-Help me!!!!" you were thrashing about trying to escape him. "I-I'm too young to die!!!" All of them watched as Kenpachi walked off with you in tow.

"It's seems she's excited." Yamamoto spoke making Isane fall back comically.

"I feel a bit sorry for her. " Kyoraku commented gaining a chuckle from his white haired friend. 

"She'll be fine." Byakuya spoke in a monotone.
