4 - Lunchtime Madness

Clementine

The first lesson was boring, and awkward involving a lot of introductions. A lot of it was forced, the people sat around trying to start conversation about nothing interesting.
The weather, hobbies and interests and their phone numbers.

It was now lunchtime and Clem is waiting outside the now empty classroom, waiting for Marlon. After all, he said he would come and find her after lesson and take her to lunch - to meet his friends.
After waiting 15 minutes she was starting to think Marlon wasn't coming. There was no one around, except for her and some teachers.

Sighing to herself, Clem slips her phone into the back pocket of her jeans and heads for the exit door. Then, out of nowhere a blonde haired girl appears and shouts, "Hey! You're Clementine, right?"

"Yep, that's me." Clem utters carefully, not knowing the girls motives. She halved her Amber eyes in warning.

"Great. Marlon got caught up in something and told me to come get you." The mysterious blonde clarifies.

After processing what was said Clem replies, "Oh okay, I thought I got stood up for a second."

The girl responds, which allows Clem to relax slightly "Oh gosh no. Marlon isn't like that. He just couldn't get ahold of anyone quick enough."

Clem doesn't even process what she said until her thoughts get interrupted again. "By the way, my name is Violet."

"Cool. I'm just glad I wasn't totally forgotten about." Clem mumbled.

Louis

It's currently lunchtime and nothing interesting has happened. That's what happens when we live in a mediocre town. Wonder if the rumours about the new girl were true.

There's currently Louis, Mitch, Minnie and Ruby sat around the lunch table. Everyone is doing their own thing.

Mitch is being Mitch, creating little bombs that he can use on his new neighbours.
Ruby is going through her bag and checking her books and timetable. Just to be sure.
Finally, Minnie is texting on her phone - probably flirting with Violet and gossiping about the new girl.

He's snapped out of his thoughts, and Violet and an unknown girl appear from the corner and are heading straight towards our table. So the rumours were true.
Act smooth Louis, he thought to himself.

Violet takes a seat next to Minnie, who has just put her phone away. The new girl is just stood there, looking uncomfortable or confused - probably both.

"You can take a seat next to me if you want, Marlon can't make it because he's got training." Louis speaks up to the girl first.

Clem and Louis's gaze meets for the first time, and now they are able to look at each other properly for the first time.

Clem lightly smiles and takes a seat, the exact one that was offered to her. "Thanks." She quietly mutters to Louis, who is now glancing at her every chance he can.

"No problem. I know what it's like being the new kid and not knowing anyone, so I'm Louis", he smiles at her after finishing his sentence.

Maybe this won't be so bad after all she thought.

Clem found it odd how Marlon was meant to be the one to meet her, but he instead sent his other friend.
Now she's sat around a table of unusual high school kids, who are all busy doing their own thing. Louis kindly offered her a seat, assuming would be Marlon's usual space.

He seemed polite even though Clementine can feel him looking at her, every so often.
