17 - Family Trouble

Clementine

It's been a few days since the confessions were made between Clementine and Louis, in the park. The park seems to have a special connection to their relationship, which no one can explain - not even them.

Louis has been constantly messaging and video calling her, which she doesn't mind because there is always something to talk about. Even if there isn't, Louis's presence is enough for the girl. He makes her happy without even trying.
Relationship goals.

Whilst texting in a group chat, AJ randomly burst into the girls room.
"What's up kiddo?" She asks since it's out of character for him to be in a rush.

"Mum and dad are arguing again. The same one they always have. It's about moving back to Georgia." He mutters - trying to control his emotions.

Clem sits up from off the bed and approaches AJ. Her baby brother needs comforting and it's like Clem is the only one that does it now a days.

"You stay here Goofball. I'll be right back." and with that, she heads for her bedroom door: leaving AJ alone.

Full of emotion that Clem chooses to act on, she storms downstairs heading straight for her arguing parents in the kitchen.

"You two need to get your shit together and stop it. AJ is on the brink of tears because of it." The anger is evident in her tone and facial expression.

Lee and Carley turn to their daughter, stunned.
"Clem, we didn't mean you upset you or AJ. There's just a lot going on with my job and there is a position that's come up back home, in Georgia." Lee tried to reason.

"I don't want to go back to Georgia. This is my home now." She snaps back, proving her point.

"Lee, we need to talk about this but calmly. Anger isn't going to solve this." Carley tries to reason.

Lee responses by saying "You were all up for moving back home a few weeks ago. You didn't even want to come here Carley."
Oh snap. Truth is out now.

"Well, it's that nice to know. I'm not moving back to Georgia. We have been constantly moving but this place is different. This is my home now." Clem finished the conversation and exits the kitchen. She proved her point and left her parents shocked at the admission.

Clem proves her point, that daily arguments don't end well. They need to talk calm, and together. They are a team and shouldn't be fighting each other in hard times - such as Lee trying to get them to move back to Georgia.

"Lee, you heard her. We cannot keep moving around the country just because your boss says to. She has friends here, and a boy that thinks the world of her."

"A boy?! How on earth do you know Carley?"

"Come on Lee, it isn't difficult to figure out. Maybe you just spend too much time working, and not with your wife and children" and with that, Carley leaves him stood alone in the kitchen with nothing but his thoughts.

Louis

The older teen boy had a lot of time to think over the last few days. School is out for break, and he has no work to do because it's already done.

L: let me take you on a date this weekend.

C: a date? Really?

L: yep. Just you and me :)

C: I can't say no to a face like that.

L: you can't even see me?

C: ;)

He shut off his phone, feeling creeped out hoping Clem cannot actually see him. That would be a little awkward if he could see him now.
He is sat on the edge of his bed, with nothing but a pair of bright striped pyjama trousers on. His hair was arranged in the no particular order, so it resembled more of a birds nest than nicely arranged dreads.

The main issue was, what would he wear on their date?
This is a crisis.
