Chapter 2: Memories

You open your eyes to see yourself staring at the ceiling of an unfamiliar place. You look down at your arm, and it's bandaged up very tightly. It also had blood stains, faint ones. Your leg is bandaged up also, and your head is throbbing. When you try to get up, the pain is too much. You have no idea where you are, and you're not sure of what happened last night.

"W-Where am I?" you ask yourself. "Hello? Someone help me! I-I don't know where I am and.. I have all these wounds.." you trail off.

"Al," Edward whispers. "Look! She's finally awake. Let's see if she's alright."

"Excuse me, but are you doing ok? We found you in some old house, and you were unconscious.." he said.

"W-Who are you? What is this place?" you ask.

"I'm Edward Elric! The Fullmetal Alchemist. And this is my brother, Alphonse Elric, but you can call him Al. What's your name?"

"My name.." you think. "Let me try to remember.."

"Oh no," Edward thought to himself. "She didn't loose her memory, did she? I didn't think her wounds were that serious.. and her head seemed fine.."

"R-Right! I remember now. My name is (f/n) (l/n). I remember that now." you explain.

Edward's eyes grow huge. "Wait, is that really you (y/n)..? I haven't seen you in so long.. What happened to keeping in touch?!" he asked sadly. "I've been so worried.. I was looking for you for so long that I thought you were dead." he looked down at the ground.

"Edward.. and Alphonse Elric.." you mumble to yourself and you suddenly remember who they are. "I remember you two now." you said while running to hug them individually. You hug Edward first. "I'm so s-sorry," you say while tears start rolling down your face. "I didn't mean to loose touch with with you guys.. it's just.." you trail off while hugging him as hard as you can. He's very warm, and he moves you're hair out of your face.

He hugs you back, and it's a firm hug. "What happened (y/n)? We were so worried.."

"I can't really remember that right now.. but where's Alphonse? I want to see him too. I'm so happy I can at least remember who you two are."

"Yeah, me too. And Alphonse is right here," he points to the piece of metal staring at you.

"(Y/n) we've missed you!" he said cheerfully. "Can we please not split up again?"

You're shocked. You don't understand what's going anymore. You were about 4 years old is when you stopped talking to Edward and Alphonse. The last time you saw them is when they had their full bodies. You're 15 now, and 11 years have passed. "W-Wait, that's Alphonse? What happened to him! And your arm.. what happened.. " you ask in disbelief and shock.

"Has it been that long?" he said sadly while looking into your (e/c) eyes. "(Y/n) sit down. We need to talk."
