Chapter 8: Alchemy

First of all, sorry for the long wait. I've been really busy and you all have been so supportive, so thank you. Second, thank you so much for 1.39k reads! That's incredible.. and it's all thanks to you guys. So here's the new chapter!

"So what do you want to do?" Edward asks shyly.

"Well.. I do have an idea but you're going to think it's stupid."

"Ah come on. The worst I can say is no. I'm sure it's a great idea!" he smiles.

"Ok well this really isn't a 'date' but here it goes: I thought you could teach me.. alchemy. It would be adorable though.. because you would have to help me the entire time and you would have to guide my hands and tell me what to do. We could be that alchemy couple that everyone would love.. and it would be a lot of fun. Maybe afterwards we could get some ice cream or something.I understand if you don't want to.." you look away.

"Wait.. have you been thinking about this before?" he asks.

"N-No! Why would I.."

"Don't be shy (y/n)," he grabs your hands and looks into your (e/c) eyes. "It's a perfect idea."
He grabs some candles and lights them up, trying to be romantic. You smile and wait patiently until he's ready.

"Ok, so the first thing you want to do is draw a transmutation circle." he draws one perfectly.

You draw one, just not as good as his. "Alright, done."

"Oh right how could I forget. You know alchemy's first law, right? The one about equivalent exchange."

"No, could you please explain?"

"Well, me and my brother used to think it was the world's one and only truth. It goes something like this: Human kind can not gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That's how alchemy works."

"I understand now, thank you. What's next?" you smile and look at him.

"Now you need to transmute."

He grabs your hands and puts them on the circle. "You put your hands here, yeah just like that. And now go, transmute!"

You concentrate really hard before you transmute and you're really surprised when you actually succeed. "Here Edward.." you hand him the necklace you just made. It's a silver heart, and when you open it up it has a picture of you and him. "I love you so much Edward.. words can't even describe. I always feel so safe with you.. and I know you'll always be there for me."

"(Y/n) I love you too. You're the best girl I've ever met." he then makes you the same necklace and puts it on for you.

"Edward.. thank you so much. I lo-"

Your words get cut short. He then pulls you in unexpectedly and kisses you.
