Someone was there.

Jeongguk treaded through the soft sand laying at his feet in small dunes. His head was perked up, eyes searching the beach that wasn't empty, as it always had been. He studied the pink that stood out from the blue-grey waves lapping at the dull beige of the sand with a tilt of his head.

The brunette found himself wondering what to do in the situation presented. Should he just sit a good distance away? Or should he approach the other man? No, staying away was better, he decided.

However, the other man seemed to have decided before him, for his eyes caught Jeongguk's figure and his feet lifted him off the ground with ease.

Despite his nervousness, a small, awkward smile unknowingly found it's way on Jeongguk's face as he saw the pink-haired man grinning at him and making his way over.

"Hey," he breathed, his voice smooth, yet strong, in a way. A small, sweater-pawed hand was brought up to his side as he lightly waved it back and forth. "I've never seen anyone else here before."

Jeongguk found himself whisper a small greeting in return, however the winds carried his voice away before it could reach the other man's ears. He raised his voice a bit before replying, "Oh, I have never seen anyone here either."

"Hm," he hummed, staring at his hands before meeting Jeongguk's gaze again with a slight tilt of his head. "Do you come here a lot?"

"Yeah, I do." Jeongguk couldn't seem to swipe the smile off of his face-- something about the other boy's presence just lured him in. "A lot more recently than before."

"Me too." The shorter of the two bit his lip from trying to contain his smile as well, feeling entranced by the brown doe eyes than met his own lighter ones. He was caught in a daze staring at the deep eyes that seemed to have a beautiful meaning behind them.

That is, until his train of thought caught up. "Ah! That reminds me— I have to go." He looked quickly looked behind him, then whipped his head back at Jeongguk's direction. "It was really nice seeing another person here." His smile came back— looking somewhat sheepish this time— following a nervous, breathy laugh.

"It really was," Jeongguk replied, a small chuckle making its way past his lips. He couldn't help but ponder on how cute the boy's actions were.

At this, Jeongguk's newly made acquaintance slightly bowed his head and turned to leave.

Jeongguk watched as the light wind blew his sky blue colored fluffy jacket a bit, making the pink-haired male pull it tighter across his petite form. His light pink hair was blowing perfectly in the mild winds. "W-Wait!" Jeongguk found himself yelling above the wind, trying to catch the other boy's attention.

The boy stopped in his tracks and turned around, a puzzled look adorning his features. Jeongguk began to jog up to the other boy, surprised at his sudden confidence. He couldn't walk away without knowing just this one thing.

As soon as they were a good distance apart, Jeongguk rubbed the back of his neck while sheepishly meeting the gaze of the pink-haired boy. "I-I just realized I never got your name." His voice slowly got lighter the more he continued his sentence.

A genuine chuckle escaped the other's lips, making his eyes smile brightly as well, and Jeongguk found himself unable to look away. "Ah, you're right!" He extended his hand to Jeongguk, a bit hesitant at first. "I'm sorry– I'm Jimin."

"I'm Jeongguk," the taller of the two repsoned, taking Jimin's small hand into his own in a promising shake.

"W-well, it's nice to meet you, Jeongguk," Jimin shyly averted his gaze to the rolling waves just a ways beside them. "I hope to see you again."
