The Battle

Rescue

2LT. Liam came to my side then said. "What happen to you boy, gosh it looked like they tortured you pretty bad huh? But I'm surprised that your still alive." He beckoned one of his men to come and he said, "get those handcuffs off and cut those ropes." He nodded and he put his knife inside the locks and started to pick them, when they slid off and onto the ground with a big loud crash, and then he cut the ropes and said to 2LT. Liam. "All done sir."

"Good now, I heard some footsteps at the door, you and Conner stand by the door and when they open the door shoot, do you understand?" The guy nodded his head and left.

2LT. Liam crouch down to where I was and asked. "Can you stand up Jeff?" I looked at him, and said, "I think so." I tried to get up but then realized that the knife was in my arm and leg, I fell to the ground and then 2LT. Liam called a guy over who looked like a doctor. "Luke get over here now, hurry." Luke ran towards us and 2LT. Liam asked. "Do you have any bandages?"

"Yes, I do."

"Okay patch up Jeff here, and hurry." I heard a door open and two soldiers came in and Conner and the other guy shot them, then their lifeless body fell to the ground. Luke carefully took out the knives then put them aside, then he got the bandages and wrapped my leg up where the knife was four times and for my arm, he wrapped it up five times.

After he finished, he helped me up and asked. "Do you feel okay? Does your leg or even your arm hurt?" I moved my leg and my arm back and forth and it still hurt but not as much "I'm fine. Thank you" I said and hugged him, he hugged me back, I walked over to 2LT. Liam, he turned to me. "Go get a gun off that table over there and come back here, and sorry that you can't be a sniper tonight, but in three months. We'll go into battle with Europe. But now is not the time to be a sniper, because the guys can spot you easily." I nodded my head and ran to get a gun, it was heavy, but I could still carry it, I grabbed my knife, which was filled with my blood, I slipped my knife in my pocket.

I walked over to 2LT. Liam and a guy, when I got there, he turned towards me and said. "Private Jeff this is Captain John." Captain John turned towards me and shook my hand. "It's nice to meet you Private."

"It's nice to meet you too Captain."

2LT. Liam said to one of his men to open the door, one of his men opened the door and said quietly. "Forward hall way is clear," 2LT. Liam went first then beckoned us to go, I followed the men into a set of doors, and 2LT. Liam opened the door, quietly and slowly, then he beckoned four of his men inside to check the clearing, four of his men went inside then I heard from one of them say quietly. "It's clear." I went inside and saw that it was a dining room, 2LT. Liam called towards me. "Jeff go outside and throw a grenade." I nodded, and quickly got one of Conners smoking grenades, I pulled the piece of metal off, and went to the entrance of the dining room, I quietly open it, and looked in. I saw only two soldiers, just standing outside the entrance, I turned my head to the left and saw a door, which leads to outside, I quickly told Conner that I needed a knife, he tossed me one, and I caught it in midair, then I turned back to the door and threw the smoking grenade.

The grenade exploded and the two soldiers started to cough, when they couldn't see, I went through the door and grabbed one of the soldiers and I put my knife at his neck, and slit his throat, he fell to the ground, and then the second man, grabbed his gun and started to shoot, I ran to the nearest chair and hid, I got my gun loaded and I got up quickly and shot the man in the shoulder, he dropped his gun and he clutched his shoulder, when I came up to him, he tried to punch me, but then I swung my arm and I punched him in the side of the head. He fell to the ground and I leaned down and I put my knife at his neck, and I said quietly in a dangerous voice. "Where is Rowan." He laughed. "You'll never find him." His voice sounded dark and dangerous.

I pressed the knife closer to his neck. "Tell me where he is right now, or I will slit your neck." I could see the death in his eyes, "tell me!" I pushed the knife to his neck a little bit hard, then I looked at his neck and I could see that I made a scratch, I looked at him and he said in a shaky voice. "Okay, okay, I'll tell you. He went on foot; he went in the woods. He ran in the woods about 6 hours ago. Maybe you can still catch him?" He knew that they were coming, dang it. I'll just have to go on foot, I looked back at the man and said. "Thanks." Then I quickly sliced his neck. I got up, and I slipped the knife in my back pocket, and I went to 2LT. Liam and said, "hey I'm going to search for Rowan, you guys stay here and take out the people, from outside, I'll be back later."

"Wait Jeff." 2LT. Liam said, he gave me a hug and said. "Be safe, and you're the best soldier that I ever met before." he patted my back, and I went out the door, and ran off into the woods.
