9 years later...
"Mr. Shimada? Where is your brother?"
"You presume that I always know where Genji is. He could be on the other side of the world for all I know."
"This is serious. You are both heirs to the Shimada clan. He should be here to assist you in any way he can."
"Do not worry about my brother. I want to keep him from going on dangerous missions. Leave those to me."
The elders sighed and nodded to one another.
"Hanzo it is time we spoke to you with honesty."
"What are you speaking of?"
"We believe Genji has not been trained or developed properly to lead this clan. He is not worthy and he know's of all our secret opperations. We wanted to speak with you about disposing of-"
"How dare you! You speak of killing a Shimada! A most worthy successor! You dare speak of killing Genji?!"
"It would be for the good of the clan. Genji is unfit to lead us."
"I won't do it. Never will I kill my own brother. You disgust me."
Hanzo stomped out of the room. He sighed sharply and took out his phone. He scrolled through his contacts till he found the number labeled Genji. He pressed it and brought the phone to his ear. He listened closely waiting for Genji to respond. After hearing the line ring for a while he waited for a beep.
"Genji, where have you gone? I have something important to tell you, but I must say it in person. Please, return to Sbimada palace on high alert."
He ended the call. Hanzo closed his eyes solemnly. He feared that the elders would try to get rid of Genji, but are too afraid of Hanzo. He is their rightful leader and could easily let the elders off, but like anyone who chooses to break off from the clan is given a death sentence. Hanzo's phone rang again."Mr. Shimada? We found the target. I will send the coordinates."
Hanzo's phone beeped. A location was sent to his phone. He held it back up.
"Thankyou, now disengaged and I will see you back at base in two hours."
"Sir? You want to confirm a disengagement? The objective was to find the target, send coordinates, and wait to move in. You want to confirm disengagement?"
"Yes, yes disengage imediateley!"
"Roger that sir. We will disengage."
"Thankyou."
He hung up and sighed looking down at the new location on his phone. He read the title of the building with disappointment in his breath. The title read "The Happy Fish Club".--------------------
"This place has everything! You should take us here next week."
"Gladly. It is the only place I can get away to. Now where else can this night take us?"
"Their doing half price tequila shots?"
"Waiter?! Bring 8 of those please!"
"Genji? Maybe you should slow down a bit."
"Nonsense, my dear. We are hear to party! Enjoy it while it lasts."
Genji got close to the girl's ear and spoke in a whisper.
"Besides, maybe we can get that dress off of you tonight."
The girl giggled a bit and pulled her fingers through Genji's green hair. She came in close and laughed into Genji's lips, but stopped at the sound of a deep cough. Genji looked up to see his brother looking down on Genji with a cross expression. His arms unfolded as he began to speak to him.
"So, is this what has become of my brother?!"
"Hanzo?! How did you-"
"Is this how you choose to spend the rest of your life?!"
"Anija!"
"Enough of this nonsense! The elders need you. We are leaving!"
Hanzo grabbed Genji by the sleeve lifting him from a couch.
"Wait, Hanzo!"
"No! We leave now!"
Genji yanked his arm from Hanzo's grip and stared flustered. He gently dusted off his sleeve.
"Watch the suit, brother!"
Hanzo stared fouly.
"This is not how our father taught us, Genji! You should know better!"
"I'm not a child anymore! I'm 25 years old! I get to determine my future. Not you, not father!"
"You are a Shimada! You have duties and responsibilities to the clan!"
"You know as well as I do that the elders do not believe I am worthy enough to run the clan, and I agree with them. I may be a Shimada, but I was never born to become a leader! I'm tired of running from it Hanzo, but if I have to I will!"
Genji quickly dashed out of the VIP room and came to a back door into an alleyway. Hanzo ran after him. He ran out and looked up. Genji had already gotten to the roof of the building.
"Stop trying to turn me into something I'm not!"
"It's your duty Genji!"
Hanzo scaled the wall after Genji and ran along the roofs. Genji stopped running just before jumping over a big gap between two buildings. He turned around gasping for air. Hanzo stopped and stared at him. Genji shook his head.
"You know how this ends Anija. It ends with my escape. I refuse to join the clan!"
Hanzo reached out knowing he would not be able to make the jump after Genji. Genji ran, sprinting over the side of the building. He flew in mid air and grabbed the ledge of the next building and flipped up to the roof. He stared over the gap at his older brother. Hanzo stared back in shock. That shock soon turned to bitter hate. He locked eyes with Genji and spoke with anger in his voice.
"You have dishonored our family, our clan, our father! You are unworthy! Just as the elders say! It is all true! You are a coward!"
