Chapter 10: Teammate

Allysa's PoV

We are here in the classroom and it is science time. Our lesson for today is all about 'THE EARTH'S SURFACE AND BOUNDARIES'. Like how it forms, the creation of the faults, so on and so forth.

"Class, the crustal plates make up the solid part of the Earth known as the Lithosphere," Prof Regine said.

"Hmm... Mr. Marasigan, what is lithosphere?" sheyt! May pa impromptu si prof!

Tumayo naman iyong classmate ko na which is si Benedict Marasigan. "Lithosphere?"

"Yes lithosphere."

"I-I don't k-know Prof. S-sorry," utal-utal niyang sabi.

"You don't know Mr. Marasigan?" tumango naman si Benedict bilang pagtugon niya kay prof tapos tumingin si prof sa aming lahat. "As far as I remember class that yesterday, I reminded you to do an advance reading about The Earth's Surface and Boundaries because we will have an impromptu today. Am I right or am I wrong?"

"You're right prof," sabay naming sabi. Paghindi kasi namin siya sinagot baka kami ang malagot.

"I'm disappointed Mr. Marasigan because you don't take my words seriously. Okay, who will help Mr. Marasigan?" tanong ni prof at tumingin sa amin. My nerd classmate who is Fenry Galicia raises his hand.

"Okay, Mr. Galicia. What is lithosphere?" tanong ni Prof Regine.

"Lithosphere is a rigid part of the earth and it is consisting of the crust and upper mantle," proud na proud niya pang sabi. Sana all proud.

"Very good Mr. Galicia. Gayahin niyo si Mr. Galicia kasi ginawa niya talaga ang sinabi ko," pagkatapos niyang sabihin iyon ay bumalik na siya sa paglelecture.

"Because of the movement due to heat and pressure on the mantle, the lithosphere tends to move as well. This results in the creation of faults, folds, and cracks on the Earth's surface," mahabang lintana niya at trinanslate pa niya sa tagalog para mas maintindihan pa namin. Minsan hindi na ako nakikinig kasi madali lang naman intindihin.

Hay... Boring naman kung after ng class ay didiretso na ako sa bahay at wala naman akong gagawin doon. Wala naman ang kapatid ko which is James kasi busy sa kanyang girlfriend na si Kaye. Sometimes I envy James because he has a girlfriend while me? Waley!

"Ms. Smith, please stand up."

Minsan nga naiinis ako kasi kung maglambingan ang dalawa kulang nalang ay ipagbuhol ko sila.

"I said Ms. Smith stand up."

Ang sweet sweet pa nila sa isa't isa! Dinaig pa sila Mommy at Daddy. Tapos- tapos may sumiko sa akin.

"Woy, tawag ka ni prof," sabi ni Kate at sa puntong iyon mga kaibigan ay may isang dragon na nangangalaiti at umuusok ang ilong habang tumatawag sa aking apelyido.

"MS.! SMITH!!" dali-dali naman akong tumayo at napalunok pa ng laway. Jusko! Bakit ba kasi hindi ako nakikinig at iniisip ang kapatid ko na may girlfriend! Baka karma ko ito kasi bad 'yong ginawa ko!

"Y-yes P-prof?" kinakabahang tanong ko.

"Are you with us?" tanong ni Prof.

"Y-yes P-prof," sabay lunok ng laway kong sabi.

"Are you listening to me?" nakataas ang kilay na tanong niya. Lord guide me!

"Y-yes P-prof."
