Yes, the title is a line from Closer To The Edge anyways...
Summary: Aurelius finally goes to kill Albus Dumbledore, but is shocked to find the love of his life, also.
"Aurelius. I want you to disapparate, like I taught you, to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Scotland. That is where you will find your brother, and that is where you will kill him for me. Can you do that for me, now, Aurelius?" Grindelwald asked. Aurelius nodded and disapparated.
He appeared just outside the grounds and walked through the gates, onto the bridge and stood at the entrance.
A teacher, Professor Dippet, stood by the entrance.
"Can I help you?" He asked Aurelius suspiciously.
"I'd like to speak with Professor Albus Dumbledore please." Aurelius said, a dark look on his face."Ah yes, Albus said he was expecting a visitor. Right this way please... um..."
"Aurelius." He said. Dippet nodded.
"Just up there." Dippet pointed to some stairs.
Aurelius walked up them, confused as to how Albus knew he'd be coming.
He didn't bother knocking on the door, he just raised his wand and opened it."Albus Dumbledore!" He yelled, pointing his wand at the man, not realising he wasn't the only visitor.
"My brother." He said, quieter than earlier. He thought he could do it, but the fact it was his brother felt like an act of betrayal. Then he told himself Albus wanted only worse for him, and his grip on his wand tightened.
"Hello Aurelius." Dumbledore said. Aurelius stood, shocked, as to how his brother knew his name, but realised, the great Albus Dumbledore should not be underestimated.
Nagini stood in the corner of Dumbledore's office, studying the look on Aurelius's face.
"Credence?" She said quietly. His head sharply turned as he pointed his wand at her, but, realising who it was, slowly lowered it.
"Nagini?" He asked, dropping it. She ran to him, flinging her arms around him. He thought about not showing weakness, but one he felt her touch, he couldn't resist hugging her back.
Albus sat, smiling, at his desk. He watched his brother happily, before coughing and catching his attention.
"Aurelius, why are you here?" He said, asking the question he already knew the answer to. Credence raised his wand again.
"I must kill you, brother. For the greater good." Albus chuckled at that.
"Merlins beard, Gellert has my own brother saying it." He said under his breath, before getting louder.
"How will this benefit your life in any way? Surely it will just add to the guilt of all the accidental murders you've committed?" Albus said, making Credence's stare become colder.
"Grindelwald wants you dead. I will give that to him. Avada-" Credence was interrupted by a hand on his arm. She turned to see Nagini in tears.
"Credence. You don't have to do this." She whispered, voice cracking. He dropped his wand.
"I do, Nagini." He said, raising it once again. She then stood in front of it.
"Now, Nagini, don't be foolish." Albus said, smiling.
"Step out of the way please, I can tell this is hard enough for my baby brother." He sighed. Nagini moved, but Credence lowered his wand."You win." He sighed. Albus smirked. "I'm sorry?" He asked, provoking Credence.
"YOU WIN!" The obscurial yelled as he dropped his wand completely. Albus chuckled.
"Oh, Aurelius, if only you knew how much I actually care for you." Albus sighed. A tear fell down Credence's cheek and Nagini ran over to wipe it off.
"I still love you." She sighed, resting her head on his chest.
"I still love you too." He sighed, kissing her forehead.
He picked up his wand a left once again, leaving Nagini heartbroken, and Albus smug.
And I'm crying
