Chapter 8

Chapter 8:

The breath escaped my throat as I ran out of the bar. I climbed up the stairs to the outside of the bar. I ran quickly to the trans am as I saw Cherry Bomb and Painkiller Overdose run after me.

“We’re coming with you.” Painkiller insisted. “Fine have fun dying.” I yelled. “If it means we die as a killjoy for Fun Ghoul then so help me god we WILL die for that fucker.”

I saw the Rebels running after me out of the City Limits’. “I’m coming with you.” Andy insisted. “You’ll be kill you fool.” I growled.

“Then I’ll die like a killjoy.” Andy grabbed my arm and smiled. I broke down. I fell to the dusty desert floor as a puff of smoke clouded around me. My head fell in my hands as I sobbed. When was the last time I cried?

Andy grabbed me by bridal style sitting me on top of the hood of the trans am. “Listen to me ok? Fun Ghoul is ok, he will be ok. Say that outloud right now.” Andy ordered.

“F-Fun Ghoul is ok, he will be ok,” I sobbed. “Everyone cries ok? There is nothing to be ashamed of. But right now we need to go get this fucker back.” He ordered. I nodded getting in the drivers side of the trans am.

“Revolution get the other guys home, they can’t go out into Battery City.” I ordered. He nodded taking the other rebels into his van. Andy, Painkiller, and Cherry Bomb were in the car with me; Party, Kobra, and Jett were in the other trans am in front of me.

I sighed as I started the transmission.

I pulled into the alleyway of Battery City. “Keeps your masks on if you have to.” I sighed. I turned off the lights that illuminated the night sky of Battery City. Party’s car was in front of ours.

I exited the car and walked out to the side of the Battery City HQ. I ran in with everyone around the corner to the glass front doors.

“I have no plan.” I sighed shooting the glass doors with my laser beam and the glass shattered. Everyone started running in fighting Dracs and shooting them and punching them to no end. I started running after them.

I shot a Drac and he fell to the ground. “No family,” I growled shooting another that approached behind me. “No future.”

A Drac strangled Party against the wall. I shot past Party’s head killing the Drac. “But I’ll tell you what I do have. Ambition.” I growled.

“Adren! In here!” I heard Andy yell with a blaster in his hand. He stood at the end of a hall.

I started to run after him. “ADRENILIZE!” I heard Fun Ghoul yell. “I’M COMING GHOUL I’M COMING!” I screamed running to Andy. Then I felt it.

Pew! Pew!

I gasped for a breath as I ran my hand over the laser beam wound that was shot in my stomach. I felt a pair of hands grab my arms roughly as I looked up at the face that belonged to the pair of arms.

“Back so soon?” Korse, the leader of Battery City, grabbed my arm and pulled me up. I felt my eyelids droop close.

I woke up tied to a chair. “LET US FUCKING GO!” I heard Andy scream. I tilt my head a little to see Andy sitting next to me.

“Andy,” I whispered. “It’s going to be ok, I promise.” Andy leaned over and kissed my forehead then a light blinded me.
