Chapter 27:

I stirred awake staring at the ceiling of some room. It was a boring ceiling really: white with random texture splotches.

I had tried to turn to actually see the room, but my hands were restrained. I was stroke with an off sense of remembrance for the cieling. I thought of a time when I was for some reason shirtless; my ribs bandaged up, and long hair flowing down my back.

I remember being restrained and feeling the cold metal bars of the cot rest against my hands. I remember Sammi for some reason asking if I were going to shoot her again.

"Awake now?" Sammi spoke up. "Yeah, now let me go." I ordered. "Are you going to run?" Sammi questioned. "No," I sighed.

Sam crouched down to my side as she undid the cuffs. As soon as they were unlocked I reached down to my boot for my blaster, but it was missing.

"Looking for this?" A voice spoke up in the corner of the room; Andy. He was holding my black blaster in front of his face. "Give it back." I ordered leaning to grab it, but I fell instead.

"you've gotten a sprained ankle stupid." Sammi smirked. Andy leaned down to help me up placing the blaster in the back of his jeans. He picked me up bridal style.

"I love you; I'm sorry I yelled. I know you're scared." Andy apologized as he climbed the staircase a floor to our room. "I love you too; I'm sorry." I said quietly as he placed me lightly on the bed.

"So you love me?" Andy smirked as he guided his hand caressing my cheek. I simply nodded grabbing his hand lightly as it touched me.

"Please don't leave." Andy begged grabbing my chin softly and tracing circles with his thumb over it. "I won't; we need to figure this out together and running isn't going to help." I muttered.

"Good," Andy smirked as he kissed my forehead pressing my back down on the bed. "Last night was fun; you know before the whole 'you're a prophet of the lord' thing." I laughed. "I had a fun time in the canyon. It was so much fun after we got shit faced." Andy muttered as he hovered over me kissing my neck, and I smirked softly.

Andy's sweet kisses made the hair on my arms standup with goosebumps. “Andy,” I giggled ruffling his long hair. He nestled his nose into my neck. I bit my lip lightly as I kissed the top of his head.

“I’m Batman,” Andy growled in a deep voice. “I don’t really consider Batman a superhero since he doesn’t have any mutations, and he’s just a vigilante. But just saying I’m Harley Quinn.” I smirked. “You did not just insult Batman!” Andy yelled.

“He doesn’t count as a superhero he has no mutations! Mystique and Spiderman have mutations, so they are super.” I told. “So you’re telling me a blue naked chick is better than Batman!” Andy scolded. “Yeah, but I am still Harley Quinn, Spiderman, and Mystique.” I rolled my eyes.

“But none of those go with Batman.” Andy groaned. “Well, some comics Harley and Bruce are in an affair.” I laughed. “Like one comic,” Andy sighed.

A knock tapped on the door, and Andy sighed. “It’s Outlaw mum,” The small voice spoke up. I stood to my feet walking to the door opening it widely.

“Hey, kiddo what’s up?” I asked. “I wanted to know if I could go out with Painkiller and Ashley for a bit? I just kind of want to get to know them since they are my real parents.” Outlaw asked.

“Of course you don’t have to ask me for that.” I smirked. “Oh and Sam told me to give you this.” He muttered handing me a fat black leather bound book with the word FEAR engraved on the cover. “Thanks, go, don’t be out too long it’s getting dark.” I told patting his back. He let out a comforting smile before walking off.

“What’d he give you?” Andy asked once I had shut the door. “FEAR bible I assume.” I sighed. “Where’s the rapture?” I asked flipping through the book.

“It’s in the back.” Andy told taking the book from my hands and flipping through a few pages in the back before handing it to me. I took it graciously turning a light on and sitting down so I could read.

“Rapture:

In the day that a Southlander lies with a Northlander they shall produce a child of sin and abomination. That child shall be a Prophet of the Lord bring the end of FEAR’s reign. The woman with the fire hair will stand tall above the Shadows’ for she shall be the only thing to kill the Shadows with her mind. She shall carry the power of the Lord in her veins and kill our rightful religion with the power of her mind. In the great battle, she can only be stopped when someone she loves is killed. She will run to the human over protecting the army letting her followers die over her own selfish love.” The book read.

“So who’s the Lord?” I asked Andy. “The enemy of FEAR. I don’t believe in either, the Lord or FEAR, but anything against FEAR I support.” Andy told as he hovered over me kissing down the side of my neck softly. I bit my lip as my toes curled.

“Mm fuck you’re so beautiful.” He whispered lightly in my ear, and I bit my lip harder. “You keep biting the lip my dear I’ll bite you in a place that’ll hurt a lot worse.” Andy growled. I blushed and let go of my lip. Andy continued to flip through the FEAR bible as I picked up one of the kittens that walked into the room.

“Adren I think I have it.” Andy said suddenly. “What?” I asked. “No, I mean I know how you can kill Shadows,” Andy yelped. “Explain,” I ordered.

“Religion is only an idea or thought with enough followers. Well, it says right here that Shadows are made of that belief and that religion. So just don’t believe.” Andy yelled. “What do you mean?” I questioned stroking Femme’s back.

“I mean: Shadows aren’t real they’re all in our head. All you have to do is believe they aren’t there, and they lose their power and die.” Andy smiled. “Oh my star,” I yelped jumping in his arms. He picked me up and spun me around tightly in his arms.

“Come Friday FEAR will be gone!” I smiled.

AN: Tired, cramping, and crying.
