"Hayes!" The sound of Rose's voice rang through my ears. Only, it turned out it be my coach's.

"Hayes! Wake up it's game time!" I woke up on the bench in the locker room with my uniform on.

"Come on it's game time!" Coach said. I jumped a little as he smacked me with his clipboard.

Was it just a dream?

Did Rose really end up in the hospital?

I stood up, oblivious to the time and situation I was in at the moment, but I walked out of the locker room towards the field. I ran out there and joined my team for warm ups. But first, I looked in the crowd.

My dad stood next to the players' bench checking his clipboard, Nash was in the stands. That's a good sign. Soon, I saw Rose come down from the stand steps carrying two drinks for her and Nash.

It was a dream.

Thank god.

Rose

"Thank you." Nash tapped the top of my head and twisted the cap to his soda. I rolled my eyes then directed my vision to the field. I saw Hayes.

#7. The luckiest number.

"I was number seven too. And Will." Nash poked my arm.

"Cool." I said in his face and he stuck out his tongue.

"You aren't as shy as Hayes." I said.

"Oh Hayes is VERY shy. And I tease him about it all the time." I laughed.

"See. He's waving at you." I looked down on the field, and sure enough. Hayes was waving at me. I waved back.

"He likes you." Nash leaned over and whispered. I pushed his head down with my hand.

"Suck my ass." I said and laughed.

"Gladly. But the the game is starting." I smacked him on the arm and laughed.

Hayes was playing terrible. He was practically tripping over his feet. Nash was so jittery. Mumbling things that he was doing wrong under his breath and tapping his feet and fingers. His dad pulled him out and smacked his helmet. They talked for a bit and Hayes stood standing as his dad jogged over to the bleachers.

"Rose!" He called. I made a shocked face. Like a deer in headlights, then ran down to him.

"Yes sir?"

"Hayes wants you down there." I nodded and went down to him.

"Rose thank god." He pulled me in for a sweaty hug. I'm highly confused but I'll go with it.

"I fell asleep in the locker room and I had a dream that you and Nash got in a wreck and you were in the hospital and-"

"Hey, I'm right here. I'm fine. Now get yourself together and go kick some ass." I kicked his butt.

"Okay, as long as you promise to stay down here on the bench."

"I promise." He smiled, breathed the word 'okay', and ran back over to his dad and coach. Soon he was back in the game.
