In no way, shape or form did she think she deserved this. Why the hell was she put in this position? What the fuck did she ever do to deserve this form of punishment. She had money, a good job, and family... at least some form of it. Though she wasn't exactly the sincerest person on the planet.
"Hey. Stop spacing out. We have shit to get done." Nea tapped the girl on her shoulder as she looked back and saw Nea staring at her. "We don't have time to just sit around y/n... if you want to get out, you have to be a team player too. Don't expect us to carry you this whole round like last time." Y/n seemed to get easily offended but knew that Nea could easily kick her ass if she started a fight. She sighed and just followed her to a gen and began helping her fix it reluctantly. She gave off this vibe of "I'm much better than you, so do it for me." In this world, that was a big no go. There is no favoritism in this world. And if you thought so, then boy were you WRONG with a capital W. Two gens popped at the same time, then a third. HA. This round was going by so fast. Honestly, she hadn't seen the killer this whole round, and that gave her confidence that she would be just fucking fine. Was she wrong there too. She got up and began to wander off by herself, looking around to see if she could find a gen. Moments of searching and she finally found one off in the distance. She laughed to herself as she ran over and began fixing it, unaware of the dark presence that was close by, watching her.
Her attitude infuriated him. Thinking she was better than anyone else. It made his blood boil to 100 degrees. He watched as he quickly turned around to see another survivor off in the distance unhook one of their team mates. He shook his head and ignored y/n and went after the duo who had just ran off. Things seemed to be going just fine until another gen popped. One more left to go. But things seemed to be going down-hill fast. Jake had gotten downed, Nea was on a hook, and Quentin was nowhere in sight. She hid off in a corner, fully expecting Quentin to save them. But when Nea was sacrificed, she knew that she was going to be on her own. "What the fuck... why isn't he doing anything?"
"He is. You, however, are not." Her heart jumped up into her throat as she heard a raspy, dark voice behind her. Her heartbeat ringing in her ears as she slowly looked back. Seeing a tall, dark figure looming over her. His face covered by a mask, holding some sharp weapon, like a pig splitter of sorts. "...Fuck..." Was all that came out of her mouth before she felt the weapon come down onto her shoulder as she cried in pain and ran off. She saw Quentin working on the last generator, looking over in her direction, but seeming like she didn't even care that she was being chased. "Quentin! Fucking do something!" She yelled, tears running down her face as he wove his hand off, seeing that he had saved Jake, and both were just letting her get chased. What fucking sick joke was this? She heard the final gen go off as she frantically ran towards the door to get out of this hell hole but yelled in pain as she felt metal spikes digging into her ankle. She looked down, seeing the trap as she frantically tried to disarm it but was too little, too late as she heard it snap, as she was picked up off her feet and thrown over the killers' shoulder. "Jake! Quentin! Help!" The males just ignored her as she saw them leave through the exit gates, leaving her in the hands of death. "I want to go home... let me go! Let me out of this hell hole!" She cried, the tears were blurring her sight as she suddenly felt herself being dropped onto the cold, hard ground. Oh god, he was going to mori her. She felt herself become light headed, her heart pounding in her chest. She was scared, actually scared, and this is when she finally began to regret everything she'd ever done."Do you know why you were brought here? Do you even understand what you were brought here for? DO you even CARE about anything but yourself? Cherish life?" The words were like thorn bushes, stinging pain of reality shooting through her, making her feel ashamed as she shook her head, not wanting to answer as she tried to crawl away, only to feel a foot on her back. "You're going to listen. And you're going to listen damn well, or else I WILL, kill you." The girl felt herself trembling as she looked as the killer walked around, kneeling down to look down at her, only a few feet away. "At one time in life, I was in your position. Rich, had everything I could've ever asked for, had a family. But unlike you, I wasn't selfish. I worked hard for what I wanted. My life was never perfect. And people like YOU are the reason I'm here, and why I exist the way I do. Your criminalistic tendencies, your selfish acts, all boil down and make you look like a weak, spineless piece of filth. You are here, to hopefully undo your mistakes and redeem your freedom, but from what I can tell, you deserve nothing." Boy did he look pissed. Even though you couldn't see his face, it showed in his stature and his voice. "You have one of two choices. You can stop being selfish and start caring about others more than yourself, or you can be stuck in this hell of a purgatory for the rest of your life, suffering for your pathetic life and mistakes over and over again, reliving everything until the pain makes you go numb."
The words struck fear into her until she just broke down. "I'm sorry! I made fucked up choices! I've broken people because of my selfishness! People have died because of me okay! I fucked up! I can change... Just let me try one more time.... Please." The trapper didn't seem very convinced as he could tell she was just doing this to buy time. He sighed and picked her up and shook his head. "I'm not buying it." He replied roughly and walked over to where a hook was and screams off terror filled her lungs as she choked on her tears. "I'm sorry! Give me a chance please! I'm pathetic okay! I'm here because of the shit I've done to people, I'm a murderer, I'm a thief. I don't care about anyone but myself. I never wanted anyone to die! Please I'll show you I can change!" The words were mumbled almost, thrown together in one breath almost as the killer stopped, mere inches from hooking her. His breathing was heavy as he slowly began to back away from the hook, turning around to find the closest exit gate. She was terrified, and feared for her life, she felt the guilt rile up inside of her as she shook her head. "I'm so sorry Nea... I didn't want you to die like this... This was all my fault." The words echoed in the trapper's ear as he huffed, continuing to walk to the exit gate until he was a few feet from it.
"One more chance. I'll have people watching you. And if I find out you haven't changed, I'll come for you, and I will kill you with my bear hands." He replied as he dropped her to her feet as he backed up. His bulky build towered over her as she looked up at him, not wanting to see him angry as she nodded and began to limp off into the distance until she had escaped. She looked back, seeing the figure slowly become smaller and smaller until it practically disappeared within the smoke.
"Please, for me... Just change..."
