"Alright, Princess." Were the words Phil muttered to the younger.

Dan perked up, from slumping against the kitchen counter. Phil's steady steps from the door to Dan were slow, making the brunette uneasy.

It would be the first time Phil was actually gone for a long amount of time since they moved into together; which was seemingly foreign now.

Felix and Mark pulled up to the front of their penthouse, gradually Mark made his way up to the door leaving Pewds in the driver's seat of the black car. The old father clock in the corner of the living room chimed. Night had finally fallen, wrapping the day in its dark blanket.

Phil stood in front of Dan softly lifting Dan's chin so there eyes connected. "You're going to be good, correct?"

Dan nodded frantically, tying his hands behind his back.

The left corner of Phil's lip lifted up into a loving smirk. "And just because I'll be gone doesn't mean rules don't apply. Understood?"

Dan jumped up, wrapping his arms around Phil's neck. Phil giggled, picking him up gently swaying him from side to side. A pink hue sorely made way across Dan's eyes's waterline, as he thought about being apart from Phil. Dan's memories racing way back when everything seemed calm but wasn't, when the only way Phil could comfort his baby over his father's lashes was through a screen; and now Phil wouldn't even be able to text him for a week or so. The reasoning was Phil didn't want Dan to be compatible with any device; due to tracking. "Da..Da?" The brown eyed baby boy dug his face into Phil's shoulder gripping onto the back of his band t-shirt, thusly in a way to distract himself he took the cotton on Phil's back and rubbed it in between his thumb and index finger. "I don want you to go."

Phil's chest caved in as he released a breath. "I know, baby." He wanted to say "Its for your own good." but he couldn't of course. He didn't want the doll to worry or even think he was in any type of danger. Though, solely he wasn't, PJ won't know what hit him.

A subtle knock indicated Mark made it to the door, making Dan only squeeze harder. As Phil tried to gently as possible pull away, Dan sniffed, his throat and the roof of his mouth starting to ache over chocking back soft sobs. Phil glanced down at him, expression filled to the brim with concern, was he doing the wrong thing? "Poppet?" He tried to take a look at Dan's features only to be harshly yanked back into the embrace, Dan forcing his eyes into Phil's chest. "Baby, ar-are you crying?"

Mark entered the flat inaudibly, his shoes making a faint sound as he started down the hallway peaking into the kitchen; seeing them.

Phil took hold of Dan's face, analyzing his slightly puffy eyes. "What's wrong, what's bothering you, darling?" Dan tucked his head into Phil's neck as he placed his hands onto the curve of his little ones backside.

"I-I don't want you to get hurt!" He fretted, now untangling his arms from around his gangster. "A-An-And I can't know if you get hurt because I can't call you, o-only Markie can and—"

Phil brought Dan close to his chest hushing him quietly. The leader placed his chin on top of Dan's head letting Danny squeeze him in response. He kissed Dan's forehead, then glanced up, his vision tying knots around Mark standing lonesome, waiting but with a sad warm smile. Mark leaned inwards nodding his head in approval, mouthing the words: "Take your time."

Phil was blessed with this type of gang. Sure, they killed people every once in a while and are too feared to be taken down but they all had hearts, surprisingly.

Phil tugged away glancing down at his beautiful boy. Grinning, he placed his hand on the side of Dan's cheek, brushing away stray curls behind his ear. "Do you trust me?" He testified, tilting the frame of his head forward.

Dan looked up through his lashes, as tears made them seemingly darker than before. "Of course." He alleged.

Phil furrowed his brow together. "Now, are you sure you trust me?"

Dan tilted his look up in a giggle. "Of course, daddy!" He exclaimed, as Phil took hold of Dan's fragile hands.

"Then, why do you think I'm going to get hurt?" His look softening. "Trust me on this, baby," Phil griped Dan's chin again aligning their eyes. "Daddy's definitely not going to get hurt."

Something inside of Dan melted causing him to instantly feel okay, to feel comfort even though in a few minutes, Phil would be out of sight for the next few days. Dan stuck out his pinkie, and instantly Phil linked his with Dan's.

Mark then stepped into frame, his eyes wide corresponding with his smile. "Everything is going to be okay love, don't you worry you're little head." He reassured, ruffling the boy's hair. Dan laughed then nodded.

"I trust you guys." Dan muttered, giving a toothy grin.

Dan knew Phil would be safe, but the question was, would everyone else be?
