Phil sat up in the middle of the night, silence consuming him whole as all to be heard was Dan's slow, steady breathing. Discreetly as possible, Phil lifted up Dan's head from his arm and pushed a pillow to replace it. He stared for a second, as the sunshine crept into the room, coming slanted through the huge windows of their bedroom.

He felt, wrong.

Something wasn't right. Phil pressed his palms into his eyes rubbing away the tiredness in them, then switched his gaze to Dan.

He had this sudden gut wrenching feeling, and only one particular person swirled around his mind.

Phil took in a breath then slowly tucked a brown lock of curly hair behind Dan's ear; watching his chest rise and fall with each inhale. He gently placed a kiss on his forehead then stood up, pulling the duvet up to Dan's neck.

With another sigh, Phil stepped out of the room grabbing his phone on the way out.

He sauntered towards the kitchen, tapping on a few buttons before easing the phone to his ear.

Listening to each ring, Phil causally made a cup of coffee.

Finally, Dodie picked up. "Oui, Phil? What's up you're never up this early."

"We need to finish something, Dods."

"What do you mean?" She asks, her voice coming slow; questioning.

"We need to finish him, he's our new main priority."

"Who?"

"PJ," Phil hesitated, he pressed his lips against his coffee cup; taking a quick sip. "PJ Liguori."
