Highschool years

~8 years later~
The twins are now 16 and in high school.Blaze was deployed at the time ,his third time. And again they had gotten use to him being gone,they still missed him though.
Everest and Kade had gotten closer.And Bentley finally understood that love wasn't "Ew" anymore!
Dottie was doing Okay;considering she was taking care of two teenagers by herself,While also trying to stay sane.
While she was having her mental breakdowns she wrote...and wrote...and wrote.She felt safe while she was alone in a room with a piece of paper and a pen and a place for her to let out all her feelings while bawling her eyes out.She was unemployed.But,her work was discovered and posted on the New York Times Website.With a headline of ," Discovered:Heartwarming piece written by a military Mom."
It showed her work and explained basically her story.Dottie was so dumbfounded because she didn't know how they even found out about this.But she had gotten pretty popular and started to finish some of her projects and get them published.(but anyways)
It was Monday morning and the twins were getting ready for school.
Dottie:"EVEREST! ARE YOU READY?!"
Everest:"YES MOM!"
she yells as she runs downstairs
Everest and Bentley sat at the table and ate breakfast
-DING DONG-
Dottie opened the door and saw Kade.
Kade:"Hello Miss!"
Dottie:"Oh? Kade,what are you doing here?"
Kade:"Well I was wondering if I could walk the twins to school so you don't have to drive them."
Dottie:"Oh that would be great,Thank you Kade.They are eating breakfast right now!"
Kade:"Your welcome miss!"
He comes inside
Dottie:"Twins,Kade is going to walk to school with you so I don't have to bring you."
Everest:"Ok!"
They finish eating
Everest:"Let's go!"
Kade:"You look beautiful today,Everest."
Everest:"Oh,Thank you!"
Bentley rolls his eyes
Bentley:"Let's go Lovebirds."
They leave.
-At School-
Hannah(A meifwa):"Oh look,it's the freaks of the school."
Everest:"Oh look,it's the wannabe,plastic,meifwa!"
Hannah:"Hah! You're just jealous."
Everest:"Yeah right,like I'd be jealous of someone who doesn't even have a life.Lets go boys."
They walk away
Bentley:"Ugh,I hate her."
Everest:"Me too,Bentley,me too."
Kade:"You did good staying in control,though."
Everest:"I did? Yay!!"
Bentley:"Good job Ev."
Everest:"Thanks,Bro!"
-At lunch-
Kade:"Everest,I need to tell you something.Can we go somewhere private?"
Everest:"Uh sure,be right back Bentley!"
They go behind the bleachers.
But before he says anything,he kisses Everest's cheek.
Her eyes went big
Everest:"W-What was that for?"
Kade:"Everest,We've known each other since 2nd grade and I feel like Now is the right time to tell you that..that.."
Everest:"What is it? Are you Okay Kade?"
Kade:"I-I LIKE YOU!"
Everest's face went red
Kade:"I-it's Okay is you don't feel the same.I j-just needed to get it off my back."
Kade looks down at his feet
Everest kisses his forehead and puts her hand on his cheek.
He looks up
Everest still has her hand on his cheek and says-
Everest:"I like you too,Kade."
His eyes lit up.
He picked her up by the waist and spun her around.
They both laughed and he put her down.
Everest put her arms around his neck,while on her tip-toes she kisses him.
Once they break,Kade has her hands in his and he gets down on one knee.
Kade:"Everest,You make me happy,so happy,you make me glad that I moved from France from my broken home.Everest I am beyond grateful to have you in my life And I don't want to wait any longer to ask; Will you be my girlfriend?"
Everest puts one hand over her mouth and her eyes lit up
Kade smiles
Everest:"Yes!!"
He got up and brought her into a tight hug
The break
Everest:"We should go back now,Bentley is probably worried."
Kade:"May I hold your hand?"
Everest:"Of Course!"
They held hands and walked back to Bentley.
Bentley:"What's going on here?!"
Everest:"um,Well,Bentley;We are dating now!"
Bentley:"ABOUT TIME! WOOHOO!
Now,if you Hurt her I WI-"
Everest cut him off
Everest:"SAVE IT,BENTLEY."
Bentley:"alright,alright."
-At Home-
(Kade went with them)
Dottie:"Welcome Home!"
Everest:"Hi Mom!"
Bentley:"Heyo Mommo! I believe Kade And Everest have something to tell you,"he pushes them forward."
Dottie:"Oh Ok,is everything alright?"
Everest:"O-oh yeah we're fine.Bentley might not be later though..."
Dottie:"Ok then,what's up?"
Everest:"Well.."They Hold hands," Me and Kade are dating!"
Dottie's eyes went big
Dottie:"AWWWWH, MY BABY IS GROWING UP!! IM GONNA CRY!"
Everest:"Aww Mom it's okay! Im still your baby"
Dottie:"Well I know that,you're never growing out out of that title."
Everest:"Ok mom,well we're going to go upstairs!"
They go upstairs
Dottie looks at the time
Dottie:"YES! It's time!!"
She goes up to her room and gets out her computer
She waits for about 5 minutes then gets a video call
She answers and Blazes face comes on the screen
Blaze:"Dottttiieeee!!"
Dottie:"Babbyyyyyy!!!"
Blaze:"Hey,how've you been?"
Dottie:"good,just tired,that's all. Have you gotten hurt yet? You better not have!"
Blaze:"Welllll-"
Dottie:"What did you do?"
Blaze:"It's just a bruise!"
Dottie:"What did you do???"
Blaze:"I um heh- I ran into the um wall."
Dottie:"Dummy,why'd you do that?"
Blaze"it wasn't on purpose,I swear!"
Dottie:"alright fine."
Blaze:"it's so refreshing to see your beautiful face again,baby."
Dottie:"What happened?"
Blaze:"What do you mean?"
Dottie:"I know my husband,you only say that when something happened."
Blaze:"Eh,it's really nothing but My moms been nagging me about my "life choices" that's why it's refreshing to see you.But I really don't care what she says,I'm an adult now I make my own choices."
Dottie:"Aw ok well just ignore her."
They sit there in silence for a few moments
Dottie puts her hand on the screen;Blaze does the same.
Then they barge in...
Bentley:"MOM WHATS FOR DINNER?!"
Dottie:"Bentley,can I please be alone right now?"
Bentley:"MCscuse ME?! no such thing! IS THAT DAD?!"
Dottie sighs
Dottie:"Yes"
Everest and Kade walk in
Blaze:"Hey Benny,Hey Everest!"
Everest:"Dad!!"
Blaze:"How are my favorite children doing?"
Bentley:"IM DOING GREAT! And so is Everest! Why don't you tell him why!! He pushes her forward again."
Everest:"Bentley,you better sleep with one eye open tonight."
Bentley:"Yes Ma'am...."
Blaze:" Is everything alright Ev?"
Everest:"Yeah! But..."She holds up her and Kades hands" me and Kade are dating!"
Blazes stares at her for a moment
Everest:"Um Dad,are you okay?"
Blaze:"Yeah,yeah totally.Well I want to talk to your mother alone,so if you guys would leave I would Greatly appreciate it,Love y'all!"
They leave
Dottie sighs
Blaze:"You Okay?"
Dottie:"they're growing up too fast!"
Blaze:"I know!"
Dottie:"The worst part is that you're not here to experience it with me.."
Blaze:"I know...."
They sit there for a few moments
Dottie:"When are you coming back?"
Blaze:"two months baby,two months. We'll make it."
Dottie:"O-Okay."
Blaze:"don't worry,before you know it,I'll be there to hold you again."
Dottie:"Okay.."
Blaze:"I have to go now,I love you Baby."
Dottie:"Love you too.Bye Puppy."
They hung up and Dottie fell into a deep nap.
