Their Happily Ever After [FINAL CHAPTER]

(IM SO SORRY THAT THIS IS SO LATE,ITS REALLY CRAPPY TOO,I HONESTLY HAVE NO EXCUSE FOR WHY THIS IS LATE,ENJOY!)

Blaze was soon to come back,they weren't sure how long;but it was soon.
It was a Friday afternoon,Dottie and the twins were having a family dinner.
The twins were on one side and Dottie was at the other with an empty seat next to her.
Dottie didn't even eat,she just sat there and stared at the chair where Blaze was supposed to sit
Bentley:"Mom,are you okay? You haven't eaten anything."
She didn't respond
A tear trickles down her face
Bentley walked over to the other side and was about to sit in the empty chair,but Dottie stopped him.
Dottie:"Please don't sit there...please..you remind me too much of him."
He walked to her other side
Bentley:"Mom stand up."
(Since Bentley is in high school,he is really tall,almost as tall as Blaze.)
She stood up
Bentley wraps his arms around her in tight hug
Everest:"Mom,he's not gone,he'll be back."
Bentley:"You're not the only one that misses him,I know it's not the same but it'll get better I promise."
She looks up and nods
Everest:"Mom,go get some rest,we'll take care of cleaning up dinner."
Dottie:"...thank..you."
She slowly walks to her room.
Everest:"Bentley this is getting way too out of hand,what she gets some mental issues or something?"
Bentley:"I know,and we have to make sure that doesn't happen, because Dads not here."
Everest:"Right.."
They pick up dinner and then go to bed themselves
-The Next Day-
Dottie was still asleep and it was time for their weekly FaceTime with Blaze
So the twins got out Dottie's computer and set it up in the Living room.
They make the call and Blaze answers
Blaze:"Hey Kids!"
Everest:"Hey Dad..."
Blaze:"I can't believe you two are my children,you've both become very handsome and beautiful people,got it from your mom."
Bentley:"About Mom.."
Blaze stares at him
Blaze:"What do you mean? Is she okay?!"
Everest:"She's asleep right now so don't worry, but...last night was hard for her,she didn't even eat.Dad...she needs you."
Bentley:"We're afraid she's going to develop some mental issues."
Blaze:"I understand...."
After a few moments of silence
Blaze:"...I'm coming back..."
Bentley:"What?! When?! Aren't you supposed to still be deployed for another 2 months?"
Blaze:"Family comes first,I'll talk to my General,he'll understand."
Everest:"But..Dad."
Blaze:"No buts,you said she needed me so I'm coming back.But don't tell her got it?"
Bentley:"Yes Dad.."
Blaze:"Bring me to her please,I need to
See her face."
Everest:"Sure thing.."
Everest picks up the computer and brings it up to their room."
Blaze:"Thank you Everest."
Everest:"No problem Dad.."
She set the computer on their bed facing Dottie.
She kept squirming and whining,her face looked terrified
This was heartbreaking for Blaze to see
Dottie shot up,waking up from a nightmare and said this.
Dottie:"BLAZE!!"
Blaze:"Yes?"
She looked around as if he was actually there,then saw the computer."
Dottie:"Oh..."
Blaze:"Are you ok?"
She starts to cry
Dottie:"No."
Blaze:"Hey,Hey it's alright I'll be back soon."
Dottie:"Yeah 2 months,that's not soon enough for me!"
He looks down
His General walks into the room
General Matt:"Blaze,your times up."
Dottie:"WHAT?! NO!!"
Blaze:"I'm sorry Baby,I have to go,I LOVE YOU!"
The FaceTime disconnects
The twins come into the room to comfort her
~With Blaze~
He stands up
Blaze:"General Matt,I would like to request that I go home early. My family needs me."
General Matt:"Are you sure?"
Blaze:"Yes sir" he goes into a salute position
General Matt:"I understand."
Blaze:"It's also a possibility that I might never come back."
General Matt:"Are you sure? You're one of our best."
Blaze:"Yes sir,Family comes first sir!"
General Matt:"At ease,Blaze,I understand.You May go."
Blaze:"Thank you sir!"
General Matt:"No problem,it was nice knowing you."
He motions to Blaze for a hug
They have a last bro hug
Blaze smiles
Blaze:"You too sir."
Blaze then leaves and goes back to his room where all his old training buddies were.
Aidan:"You sure look happy."
Blaze:"Yup!"
Fabien:"What's up?"
Blaze:"General Matt said that i could go home early."
He said as he climbs up his bunk and begin gathering up his stuff (his pictures,notes,etc.)
Carter:"Why is that?"
Blaze:"My Family needs me,Family come first."
Rylan:"Is Dottie okay?"
Blaze looks at him
Blaze:"thought you still hated me."
Rylan:"Blaze I never hated you,I was just mad,now is she okay?"
Blaze:"Let's just say she's been having a hard time and I'm going to go fix that."
Rylan:"Right."
Blaze continues to pick up his stuff
Blaze:"I also might not come back."
Cameron:"Why?"
Blaze:"I made a mistake and this has caused a great strain on my family,Dottie basically raised those kids all by herself and that's my fault.She did everything by herself. She really is a wonderful woman,and I'm surprised she even puts up with me."
Fabien:"Because she loves you Blaze,nothings gonna change that."
Blaze:"Thank you Fabien,you've all been amazing friends and I thank you for putting up with all my rants."
Aidan:"I remember training camp,you guys were still dating and she was all you talked about.You're love sick,she's got you in a trap that you obviously will never want to escape from."
Blaze:"Great description,Aidan,you're right."
He gave them each one last bro hug.
Blaze:"Well I'll be leaving now,y'all know where to find me."
Blaze leaves the dormitory and heads to the closest bus stop; getting on the earliest bus.(he'll get there tomorrow)

(With Dottie)
Everest:"Mom,we have to go to school now."
Dottie:"w-what? It's already Monday?"
Bentley:"Yeah,you slept for most of the weekend."
Dottie:"O-oh, Well have fun at school."
Everest:"Are you going to be ok?"
Dottie:"y-yeah I'll be fine,just go."
Everest:"Ok,we'll see you later mom!"
Dottie:"Yeah...."
The twins leave
And again Dottie was all alone
Dottie laid down on the couch and soon enough,she fell into a deep nap.

Dottie awoke to the sound of clanging in the kitchen
Dottie:"W-who's there?!"
She slowly walked into the kitchen
Bentley:"It's just us Mom!"
Dottie:"O-oh,how long was I asleep? What time is it?"
Everest:"Uh,I'm assuming the whole day because...it's 6 o'clock."
Dottie:"Oh...."
Bentley:"Oh,and we're making dinner today!"
Everest nods
Dottie:"Thank you so much...I could not have asked for better children!"
Everest:"You're welcome,Mom,now go watch Tv or the news or something."
Dottie:"sure..."
Dottie walks back into the living room and sits on the couch.She takes her remote and turns on the news.
It wasn't real interesting...until this happened...

TV:"THIS JUST IN,ARMY BUS HEADING HOME TO FAMILY HAS JUST CRASHED!"
Dottie's eyes widen
The tv shows the scene with a flipped over bus and ambulances and police.
TV:"NONE DEAD AND ONLY A FEW INJURED.THE MAN WHO WAS INJURED THE MOST ALTHOUGH,WAS BLAZE MCKALLISTER."
Dottie's eyes widen
She sat there bewildered until she actually realized...
Dottie:"NOOOOOOOO!!"
She broke down into tears and sat the floor staring at the tv.
-TV turns off-
Dottie turns back to see Everest with the remote
She sets it down and runs to Dottie,holding her tight.
Dottie:"What was he doing? He wasn't supposed to be back for another 2 months!!" She says while sobbing
Everest:"He wanted to surprise you.."
Dottie:"What?! He knows I hate surprises! And you knew about this?!"
Everest:"Y-Yeah,I'm sorry Momma,he told us not to tell you."
Dottie:"We need to go see him! Go get your brother!"
She sounded so broken and desperate,Everest stood up quickly to get her twin brother.
As soon as they were ready Dottie quickly rushed them to the truck to get to the hospital.
-time skip(Lol sorry,I'm lazy)-
Dottie,still in her sweat pants and Army jacket,rushes to the front desk with the twins following close behind
Desk clerk:"Hello,how may I help you?"
Dottie:"I-I'm looking for a Blaze McKallister?"
She said a tear falls down her cheek.
Desk clerk:"Ah yes,he is currently in surgery but you can wait here until he's done."
Dottie had a broken look in her eyes
Dottie:"O-Okay."
Her and the twins sat down.
It was a long,quiet,worrying wait and Dottie was so anxious and desperate.
Doctor:"Is there a Dottie McKallister here?"
Dottie:"Yes! That's me!"
She said with a desperate tone
Doctor:"Blaze is out of surgery,you can come see him now."
Dottie:"WHERE?!"
Doctor:"Follow me miss."
Bentley:"We'll Stay here,ok mom?"
Dottie:"Okay..."
The Doctor led Dottie to a room,Blazes room.
Dottie opened the door.
No emotion could explain what she was feeling right now
It was a mix of Relief,sadness,anger,regret,and happiness.
Blaze turned his to see who opened the door,when he saw her his eyes widened for a moment but softened and held out his hand out.
Dottie's head was looking at the ground and when she looked up you could see streams of tears running down her face.
Blaze:"..come here..."he said with a rugged voice
Dottie slowly walked over and then finally broke.
She fell to her knees and wrapped her arms around his neck,sobbing into his chest,being careful of his injuries
Dottie:"You Idiot!"
Blaze:"that wasn't the reaction I was expecting but ok.."he said huskily
Dottie looked up at his face,still sobbing
Dottie:"Why? Why'd you do it? I could have waited!"
Blaze:"From What I saw,And from what I heard,no you couldn't,you needed me just as much as I needed you.Its all my fault."
Dottie:"What do you mean it's your fault?!"
Blaze:"I wasn't there for you,I've caused a great strain on our family,and it's my fault.You truly do amaze me,you basically raised those kids yourself and I wasn't there to do it with you.I truly am sorry."
Dottie:"Shut up,shut up,SHUT UP! No! Yes! I do need you! But I refuse to blame you! "
Dottie took her arms back and sat on her knees,looking at the ground
Blaze:"Dottie....My Everest......My Baby......"
Dottie looks up at him
Blaze cups her chin with his hand
After a few moments of silence and looking into each others eyes,he says..
Blaze:"....You're not alone..."
