The first Dialovers oneshot goes out to my boi Kanato and it's all thanks to @2120361139e ~ I will forever love Kanato and writing for a male reader is even better omg plz give me more x male! reader requests guys ;-; all the gay is what I live for xD anyways! Let's get on to this cute lil oneshot shall we?~ I can only hope I did this request justice lol

Originally when I was sent here, there was much confusion as to why I was brought here in the first place. It made no sense. I'm not a girl so why was I being brought in as a "prospective bride" as Reiji likes to call me? Nothing added up no matter how many different ways we looked at it. But, after some time had passed and it became clear I was to be staying, the Sakamaki's learned to just accept me as their next blood bank until a new girl would inevitably come to replace myself after I had died.

Funny enough, I'm still alive. Even after all these months, they've yet to kill me and it's all thanks to one vampire in particular keeping me alive this long.

"What are you doing out here ___?" Kanato asked, finding me outside in the back courtyard of the Sakamaki's estate surrounded by the beautiful rose garden.

Glancing up to him from where I sit, I offered the amethyst haired vampire a small smile. "Just admiring the night per usual. Now what are you doing out here, Kanato?"

He thought for a moment as he hugged Teddy closer to his chest. "I was looking for you."

"And why's that?"

"You ask too many questions."

I couldn't help but laugh at the deadpanned expression this vampire was giving me. "I enjoy talking to you, but you always give me such short answers that I have to resort to asking more questions. Now tell me why you've come looking for me."

Kanato turned away to look out down the path that leads from the rose gardens out into the nearby forest. "There's somewhere I want to take you." He said, flicking those cold eyes of his back to myself. "Come with me."

Doing as he said, I stood up from the bench and walked beside this amethyst haired vampire, enjoying our shared night together.

Kanato has always been one to stick around myself regardless of whether or not the situation calls for it. When we happen to be off from school, it's not rare for him to seek me out. During our free time, we often sit with each other doing various things, sometimes munching on his sweet snacks together and other times just enjoying each other's company while completing our own tasks. It's rare you'll find one of us without the other somewhere nearby and it's because of this I've lived for as long as I have.

Ayato has never been fond of me. Since the day I walked into this mansion, he's despised my very existence and has attempted to suck my blood to the point of death numerous times. The only thing stopping him has been Kanato's possessiveness over myself. Without him, I would have been dead by the end of the first month I was living here.

"Is the new girl going to be arriving soon?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.

Kanato spared me a glance before scoffing. "Does it matter?" He asked in return.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I guess not. But what will become of myself when she arrives?"

"Nothing." The amethyst haired vampire said simply, the large lake at the end of this path coming into view now. "You're mine. If some girl comes here, then I'll just add her to my doll collection. But no one, not anyone who comes here, will be replacing you."

My eyes widened some as I looked to Kanato, the two of us coming to a stop on the dock overlooking the large lake. The full moon up above reflected over the lakes surface, making the water itself look almost magical in a way. "So I'm irreplaceable to you now?"

Kanato scoffed. "You should feel privileged that I said what I said, not questioning me."

"True," I said as my gaze shifted from the lake to this handsome vampire, "so what does this make us if I'm irreplaceable to you?"

"Maybe I should just kill you for asking so many questions." Kanato sighed.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Awe, don't be like that."

The amethyst haired vampire rolled his eyes as he looked up to me from behind his large glasses, the eyewear only making him look cuter than truly threatening. "I'm going to talk to Reiji about making you into a half-blooded vampire." Kanato said, a small smile dancing across his lips now. "I want you for the rest of eternity."

"Well that's news to me." I said with a smile of my own. "Though, I guess I don't object to your plan."

"Not like you had much of a say in this to begin with."

"Of course not."

Kanato laughed a bit as his expression softened. "You love me, don't you ___?"

"I love you like the stars love the moon." I responded easily.

Wrapping his arms lowly around my waist, Kanato forced me into a tight embrace, Teddy now sitting on the wooden deck by our feet. "Forever, you'll be mine."

Stroking my hand through his hair, I smiled as I bent down ever so slightly to place a soft kiss to the top of his head. "Forever, I'll be yours."

And yet another oneshot completed.~ I think this came out better than I had expected it too tbh I don't get many male! reader requests so this was a bit of a challenge ;-; Thanks so much for the request though hun and I really hope you liked this oneshot!
