{ your p.o.v }

To be someone's replacement is something no one ever wants to hear, especially under circumstances such as these. Being a sacrificial bride, a glorified blood bank, someone to be thrown aside in the end when you've been all used up; is this a fate anyone would want for themselves?

"Sit down with me." Shu had said as he took a seat on one of the few benches atop Ryoutei Gakuen's rooftop, not bothering to let me have a say as he grabbed my wrist and forced me to sit down beside himself.

Without a moment of hesitation, the blonde headed vampire rested his head on my shoulder, ocean blue eyes fluttering closed as his hand closest to myself rests on my thigh. My heart thudded against my chest as I absentmindedly leaned into his side some.

I, in short just as all the girls before myself, am a replacement for the unlucky soul that came to live with these vampires before me. Though I can't say that I dislike this current turn of events. To be sitting here with a sometimes kindhearted vampire who protects me is almost a blessing in disguise. Though he's not a saint by no means. Rather a sadistic wolf in sheeps clothing who I can't help but adore.

"Tonight is a beautiful night." I murmured, unsure if the blonde can hear me through the music playing from his earbuds. "Is there a reason you brought me up here?"

"Shut up, you're ruining the mood." Shu sighed, squeezing my thigh for added emphasis. "Just be quiet for a little bit or I'll be forced to shut you up myself."

Doing as he said, I remained quiet, enjoying this peaceful night with a vampire I should have never fallen in love with.

Love is a dangerous thing. Something that can get you into so much trouble. But, it's something to be treasured. A growing flame to be protected at all costs regardless of the consequences it will bring- or at least that's how I like to look at it.

Falling in love with a vampire is first of all, terrifying. You're a blood supply to them so why would you fall in love? And, in my case, I'm replaceable and not someone special like I'd give anything to believe. This was a mistake. Letting my guard down, letting him in, and not fighting when I knew exactly what was going on. I quite possibly could have at least tried to distance myself from this napping blonde, to lessen my infatuation with him. But, what's done is done and there's no getting around the simple fact that I have indeed fallen in love with Sakamaki Shu, eldest son of Karl Heinz, the Vampire King.

"Is it wrong to fall in love?" I asked at nothing above a whisper.

A few minutes spent in silence passed by before Shu shifted some beside myself. "Love is stupid." He decided on replying. "There's no such thing as love, simply infatuation, desire, lust, and so on. But something as pure as love doesn't exist in this world."

I thought about that response for a moment as I glanced down to the blonde. "But what if that pure love does exist? Would you accept it..?"

"Must you ask stupid questions when I've already claimed you as mine?" Shu asked, sighing as he sat up and used his free hand to scratch at his head, his other hand still resting lightly on my thigh. "Why are you suddenly going on about love anyway? Someone steal that human heart of yours?"

I blushed some at his words. "There might be a thief among us." I confessed. "Though from the sounds of it, the thief might not love me back as I had hoped."

Shu scoffed at that. "You want me to tell you I love you? Is that what you want to hear?"

"N-No, not necessarily-"

"Good, because I wouldn't say it even if you were lying on your death bed." The blonde headed vampire cut me off. Though a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "But, keeping you by my side for as long as I live is already just as good as hearing me say I love you. Someone as lewd as yourself must see that." He said with a sigh. "Or are you truly that stupid to not understand this?"

Laughing, I leaned my head down against his shoulder as I pressed a little closer to his side. "I guess you're right. It's just, I won't be replaced... Right? Because you love me?"

"I already said that I don't love you."

"But you won't replace me?"

"God, you can be so annoying." Shu sighed. "If I tell you I love you, will you just shut up about this and accept your fate for what it is?"

Smiling innocently, I nodded my head some as I placed my hand over his that rests on my thigh.

Groaning, Shu shook his head. "Keeping you around is more troublesome and annoying than anything, but I love you ___ so shut up already and don't ever leave my side."

"I wouldn't dream of leaving your side."

"Please, just be quiet already."

And yet another oneshot completed.~ Shu has been growing on me ever since I wrote his and Reiji's book oml that stupid blonde is slowly ruining my favorites list for the Sakamaki's just as Laito already has xD Thanks again for the request hun!
