"Condensed milk and honey are the perfect companions to coffee and I refuse to acknowledge anything else." The platinum blonde said as we stood beside one another, the two of us grabbing ourselves some coffee, something we do together every morning nowadays.

I glanced up to the Earl and laughed. "If you say so. I'll stick to my creamer and sugar thank you very much."

Camus scowled at that. "Have you ever had my clearly superior coffee before?"

"Yes, once and I don't plan on trying any more if you're just going to dismiss my coffee like that." I responded with ease, turning away from the platinum blonde in order to find myself some bread so I can make us french toast with eggs and maybe a pancake or two if he feels like cooking at all this morning.

Watching me with his scowl never diminishing, I ignored that petulant platinum blonde in favor of preparing breakfast. "You are acting much like the peasant you used to be. Don't we have a rule in this apartment that we try anything the other proposes at least once before we decide whether or not we like it?" He asked, walking over to the fridge to grab the pancake powder mix. Looks like someone wants pancakes just as much as I do.~

"Oh don't you dare demote me back to peasant status, it's too early to deal with that again." I said with a sigh. "And as for trying something, I've tried your coffee before and didn't like it."

"How could you not be fond of something so delectable?"

"It's just not my thing, love."

Camus looked at me for a moment before shaking his head as he turned away from me in order to go and grab the glass measuring cup we keep up in one of the cabinets above the kitchen sink. "Honestly, why did I ever agree to you becoming my significant other when you're such a difficult peasant to manage?"

"Don't start this up again Camus." I said warningly, sparing him a glance from over my shoulder. "I'm being serious. You know how much I hated being treated so coldly back then."

"Yes well," he paused as he chose his words carefully while filling the measuring glass with some water, "maybe you should learn to take your own advice and not discredit my ideas so quickly."

"I've tried your coffee before and didn't like it!"

"I'm sure that was because of something entirely different from this cup of coffee I have right here."

Feeling my eyebrow beginning to twitch in annoyance, I got to work on cooking up some french toast, being mindful to not take up the entire stove space since my oh-so-loving boyfriend is going to need some room for his pancake making. "You know what Camus, let's just both be quiet until breakfast is finished yeah? We both have work later and I'd very much rather not fight because then we'll both be in a craptastic mood all day and I'm not about that life right now."

The platinum blonde huffed as he walked up beside me, already mixing the pancake batter in a bowl while turning on the burner he'll be using for his large pan. "Fine. Be silent then, peasant."

"I swear to everything holy in this world, I will pour your coffee down the sink you pompous aristocrat."

"And do you really think a peasant such as yourself would go unpunished?"
