          With over 1K votes, I'm kinda surprised Laito got the oneshot (even though Subaru was originally supposed to win lmao rip him). Everyone is usually so negative about our fedora-wearing vampy and then here comes the soup army to vote up my boy lul I'm happy though cuz I love Laito almost as much as I love my true vampy boys so yay <3

          "Do you know what you're going to get him?"

          "No! I'm so dead- Valentine's Day is today and I still don't know what to give him later!"

          Yui laughed as she and I sat across from one another in the lunchrooms cafeteria here at Ryoutei Gakuen. "Laito will like anything you give him. He's not that materialistic of a guy so I'm sure anything you get him will be more than enough."

          I pursed my lips together as I looked Yui. "What are you getting Ruki?"

          The blonde haired girl's eyes widened some as a blush dusted over her cheeks. "O-Oh, me? I got him the newest book in this series he's been reading lately along with a box of chocolates I made for him yesterday."

          "You actually made him chocolates?" I asked before placing my head down onto the table, my shoulders falling in utter defeat. "How am I supposed to compete with that?"

          "There must be something you can get Laito." My best friend and fellow human said as he patted my head sympathetically. "Let's just brainstorm on this for a bit and we'll skip our afternoon classes just to get you what you want to give him, okay?"

          I glanced up at that. "You'd really skip your classes just to help me?"

          Nodding, Yui offered me a bright, warm smile and geez Ruki is one lucky son of a gun to have this literal angel as his girlfriend. Why Laito is with me is a mystery. "Anything to help a friend in need. I'm just surprised you and Laito are still dating after all this time." She then said, her voice growing softer some now.

          Tilting my head to the side, I looked to my friend with knitted brows. "What is it? You don't think Laito and I go well together or something?"

          She shrugged. "It's, I don't know, Laito seems so forceful and he's always trying to hike up your skirt and, and doesn't his constant assaults get to be a little too much? I wouldn't be able to handle it if I had someone like him always trying to undress me like that..."

          "Ah, that did take a little bit for me to get used to in all honesty." I said with a small laugh as I placed my chin on the palms of my hands and looked out the large window that lines the back wall of this cafeteria. "Laito grew up with Cordelia as his mother and I'm sure someone has told you what kind of relationship they had while he was growing up."

          Yui curtly nodded at that.

          "Well, he was never taught how to love someone in the same way we've been taught. He thinks that forcing the person he loves into sexual situations regardless of whether they want to do something like that with him is the best way for him to get his feelings across. I'm working on showing him that they are many ways to express his love and affection to the person he truly loves so don't worry so much about me Yui." I said with a warm smile as my eyes flicked back to my best friend. "Laito is very sweet and treats me well and protects me from all outside harm. He's just a little damaged is all, but I love him all the same."

          "I hope you and him are forever happy together. You understand him so well and you're so patient- I'm glad you're there for him." Yui said genuinely.
