I follow this man to someone who seemed to be a professional in this sort of thing.
This mullet claims to know me for as long as he and I remember, which is obviously a lie, but I don't stop him. Too scared to at this point.
After the man convinces the other stranger, he turns to me, a light smile on his face. "My name is Keith Kogane." He states. Familiar.
"Lance McClain." I say back, looking down.
"I'm going to help you, okay? I'm your new aid." 'Keith' says.
I begin to break down again. Thinking he'll laugh at me, I start crying more. But to my surprise, he comforts me. He's telling me he'll help me through my endeavors.
I can hear the sincerity.
Maybe... maybe he'll really help me. Just maybe...
