"Good morning, class! Today you will be getting started with the Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, I will hand out some worksheets for you to do at home. They will needed to be handed in by Thursday, so you have two days. They will be needed to be done with your partner, so I advise you come up with an arrangement. Get started reading!" Mrs. Eden orders at the class. I sigh and dig through my red and black checked bag to get out the novel, I pick it up and open it. I look over to Luke, "How are we gonna do these worksheets?" I ask him. He shrugs, "You can come over to mine if you want?" He offers. "Today?" I asks again. He nods, "Okay..." I mumble. I get out my phone and text my mum to let her know I won't be home as I'm working with someone. "So, I don't get what were doing." Luke sighs placing his copy of the novel on his desk and leaning back in his chair. "You're funny," I chuckle. "No, I'm Luke." He replies.

After what seems like six hours, oh wait! It was. I finally make my way out of school and into the parking lot. I spot Luke easily with his three foot high hair, and I walk over to him. I pass Eliza and she gives me a disgusting look and shoves me in the shoulder. I stumble but don't fall, and continue to Luke hearing her laugh. "Hey," I quietly say. "What was that?" He asks. "What was what?" I reply. "She just pushed you?" Luke chuckles. "Yeah, well it happens everyday so..." I sigh. "Why?" He asks again. "Because I'm a weirdo. Can we go now?" I plead. Luke nods and unlocks his car, which is a black sports car. I nervously climb into the passenger side and put my bag onto the floor, and Luke climbs in too turning on the car and the radio. Ten Tonne Skeleton by Royal Blood comes on and Luke instantly starts humming, he opens the window as he drives out of the parking lot. He turns the volume up really loud and I slide down in my seat to hide,

"She took my heart, left me - for dead!" Luke sings loudly. He's not bad at all, he's actually really good and I smile silently. "Cut loose like an animal, fire out like a cannonball!"

"Do you ever shut up?" I chuckle. Luke shakes his head and continues singing,

"CUT LOOSE LIKE AN ANIMAL, FIRE OUT LIKE A CANNONBALL!"

"Mum, this is Jessie." Luke says as we enter the kitchen of his house, Mrs. Hemmings looks up at me and smiles, "Hello! I'm Liz," she says wrapping her arms around me in a hug. I awkwardly return the hug, which consists of my gently patting her back, and Luke bites his lip holding in a laugh. "Uh, were gonna go read a book about people wearing pyjamas and boys getting things confused. Bye!" Luke states grabbing a bag of chips and walking up the stairs. I wave to Mrs. Hemmings and walk up the stairs to Luke's room. I walk into his room to see a double bed with posters and books everywhere. There's a small desk with a MAC book and a closet, and surprisingly his rooms clean. "You can put your things next to my bed, if you want." Luke smiles. I place my bag next to his bed and sit on his carpet. He opens the chips, takes some and shoves him in his mouth before getting his worksheet and novel out. "Sorry, I'm always hungry." He apologises. I shrug, "S'kay. It's your house." I state. He nods and sits next to me, "Okay. Let's get this shit done," he sighs. I nod in agreement and we start reading.

After an hour of reading and answering questions, Luke stands up. "Okay, I'm done for today." He says and stretches. I pack up my things and stand up getting ready to leave, "Are you going?" He asks. I nod and he frowns, "Can't you stay for a bit longer? I can show you how to play the guitar?" He offers. I can go home and rant on twitter about how much I hate life and Eliza McCloud, or I can stay and learn to play the guitar. "It's okay, you don't have to." I say shaking my head. "No - I want to, you said you can't play well and it's only four - thirty, common. You can go at five?" He asks. I roll my eyes and nod, while Luke gets his guitar. It's brown with dents and lots of scratches. "Geez, what did you use it for? Did you go into war with it?" I tease. "HA - HA. Very funny." He retorts. I smile in accomplishment before sitting next it him on his bed. He strums it lightly before shifting to face me, "This is C," he says placing his finger on the chords. "This is D, G, A minor, and F," he says. He strums it while he places his fingers on the chords, "Now, your turn." He says passing me his guitar. I gran it and place it on my lap, "What do I do?" I ask. "Play chord C then D," he replies. I put my fingers on the strings and strum it, making an awful noise. "You've got the wrong string," he chuckles taking my fingers and putting them on the right chords. "Oh." I mumble. I strum the chords again and it makes a nice sound, "Well done. Now, strum the C chord twice them go into D, the C again." He softly orders. I nod and strum C twice, then stop as I forgot D. Luke laughs beside me at my embarrassment as my cheeks burn bright red. "Don't laugh at me," I pout. "Sorry, okay I'll show you." Luke giggles as he wraps his arms around me and places his fingers over mine. I can feel his hard chest against my back as my heart beat quickens as I suck in a breathe. No boy has ever been this close to me without being told to, and I feel totally uncomfortable. He starts to strum the guitar and I can feel his hot breathe on my neck, which sends me into a panic. I stand up quickly grabbing my bag, "I'm sorry, I have to go... I-I'll see you tomorrow. I'm sorry," I say before running out of his room and out of his house. Gladly, he doesn't live too far away from my house so I walk fast down the sidewalk.

Look what I've done now, I've embarrassed myself again. He's going to think I'm weird, all he was doing was helping me but I ran away like a dumb little bitch. Why do I do this to myself?

"Because I'm an idiot."
