"Boys - sit next to the girl you find the most attractive."
My heart skips a beat as I raise my head slightly, all the girls have wide grins on their face as good looking boys make their way towards them. I look down at my hands and fiddle with my fingers, playing with my black nail polish and biting my lip. Maybe someone will sit next to me? No, who am I kidding. No one will, I'm just a weirdo. I shake the thoughts out of my head and look back up to Mrs. Eden, who gives me a small smile, and I don't give one back. "Okay class, that's settled then. Whom you sit next to is your partner, and you will sit next to them for the next eight weeks. Don't like it? I don't care." She say and smiles. I chuckle at her, she is a great teacher. She doesn't take anyone's shit and I respect her for that. I look around at the class again and see girls frowning, and I realise why. Eliza McCloud is sitting at the front of the class with Brandon Ramm. Brandon is the best looking guy for sure, he has brown hair and blue eyes with a six pack and a sexy as hell face. Every girl likes him, of course. Eliza is a different story, she's a well known bitch. Well not to everyone else, to me. She's bullied me for what I wear, and mostly for being me. She has ginger hair and green eyes, with freckles and full lips. She's skinny with the thigh gap and long legs, and every girl likes her. Brandon and Eliza are the schools 'ship' couple, and it's really stupid.
"Let's get started shall we? 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas' is an amazing novel based on the happenings of World War -"
"Hey, sorry I'm late." A voice interrupts. Everyone's head snaps into the direction of the door to see who's entered the room, except me. I already know who it is. "Mr. Hemmings, you are late. Again." Mrs. Eden states. He chuckles, "Sorry, I was sleeping. Sleeping is important to the immune system, correct?" He sarcastically remarks. "Don't be sarcastic towards me, I will put you into detention for as long as you sleep, now choose a partner - sit next to the girl you find most attractive." Miss bites back. He rolls his eyes and searches the class, until his eyes land on me. He smiles and makes his way towards the back of the class.
Oh, no. Oh god no, don't please please please...
My heart beats faster as Luke stands in front of my desk, "Hey." He states. I look down and don't meet his gaze, and I can feel everyone's gaze on me. Even Eliza's. Luke walks around and takes the seat next to me, and I look down at my lap. This cannot be happening to me. "So you choose, Jessie?" Mrs. Eden asks. Luke sighs, "Yes. I think I made that obvious by sitting next to her." He replies. Miss shoots him a warning glare before turning back to the class and continuing. "We will not be working today, but you will be getting to know your partner. I will write questions on the board for you to answer." She finished before turning around. And writing up questions. While she's doing so girls are turning around and looking back at me, seeming annoyed. Well they should be, Luke Hemmings just sat next to me, and he's an asshole but he's hot.
"So... Your names Jessie right?" Luke asks. I don't acknowledge him I just stare at my lap. "Hello, are you a zombie or something?" He asks. I shake my head and look up at him, his blue eyes glimmer and his hair's like, three feet tall. I quickly look away. "Do you talk?" He asks again. "Yes," I quietly answer. "Good, were making process." He sarcastically replies.
Luke Hemmings is all sarcasm and good looks, he's nothing more. He's an asshole and captain of the basketball team, and he thinks everyone likes him. Well guess what, I'm not so sure.
"I can talk, write an read without you, so how are me making process?" I snap. His eyes meet mine, "Look, let's just get these questions done." He orders rather then asks. I nod and write down the questions, and Luke turns to me.
