Chapter 6 - Training

As I remember the past while seated at the aircraft's couch I am still having a hard time comprehending the things that were happening to me. I looked out to the window and saw the heart pumping view of Alimania, the place where I will dig my grave or the other way around.

After a few minutes, I heard the pilot saying that we are about to land in a moment. I fasten my seatbelt and wait until the plane landed. It landed safe and sound, I am now on my way to the airport's arrivals area. As I walked dragging my luggage on my right hand, I saw a man holding a board with my name written on it, just like what happened at the restaurant. The man is in its late 40's, however, I can sense that his body is well trained, I can see his muscles popping from his tight black V neck shirt. He is like a body guard with the looks he had.

I walked towards the man holding the board.

That's me!, I said. Pointing out the board with my name.

Hello Ms. Mia, I'm Richard, I am assigned to pick you up today. He said in a loud voice. I saw the people eyeing us, because of what he did. I am Madame Athena's personal bodyguard. He added.

I knew it, from his looks, he is really a bodyguard. But, why is it, madame Athena choose his personal bodyguard to assist me. That's my thought when I heard him speak again.

This way Miss. He said while snatching my luggage from my hands.

I just let him led the way.

I am now seated at the passengers seat of the Mercedes Benz that Mr. Richard is driving. To avoid conversations which I don't really like. I pretended to fell asleep.

After an hour of running on the highway, we arrived at last. I was amazed on what I am seeing right now. This place is huge, its like a castle, but in a very modern design. The place were surrounded by flowers and trees. The place is so grand, before we can enter, Mr. Richards eyes were scan first then the gates opened. The left and right side of the aisle to the huge door of the mansion that we are walking in were planted with roses which they cultivated to be a shed. The roses were curling to the iron wall which is designed to be an arch. It's really glamorous and fascinating. Its like I'm in the castle where the beauty and the beast shoots. When I step my foot before the huge door. I felt my heart's fast beatings. I don't know why, but I felt something that is very unusual. Mr. Richard opened the door with his two hands, pushing it like it is a door made of steel. Then the door opens. If the outside looks glamorous, the inside looks undeniably amazing. The chandelier at the center were mesmerizing and the staircase at the center that spreads from left to right. I imagine it as Belle slowly step forward down the stair. (I am Belle, in my own thoughts :) )

My thoughts were banned when a familiar voice came in.

Mia, at last you arrived!, madame Athena's voice echoed inside the hall. She runs from the stair to the place where I am standing and hugged me tightly.

You arrived safe. Thanks God!, she said with a delight on her face.

Thank you Madame for assessing me until this time, I said while smiling on her.

She ordered her bodyguard to get my luggage to my room and then she dragged me to another part of the mansion.

As I wander my eyes to the stunning view of the mansion, we stopped outside a big red wood door. It's really heavy as I look into it. Then madame press the wall beside the red door, then it opened. Her finger print is the key. My eyes widen with the technology of the house. I saw madame's eyes on me, she's wearing a smile again. Maybe she's thinking I'm funny and ignorant. I cleared my throat to let madame Athena continue walking. Behind the red door is a very exclusive room. It's like an office or a room for VIP cliant for them to talk privately. It has a big wooden table at the center, the left side have big shelves full of books. The right side has a small table with lots of vintage wine above it.

The room was huge, it has a sala set on the other side and different paintings were hanging on the wall, which I can sense worth thousands or even millions. It has a dim light, maybe because it is for exclusive purposes. Also the four corners of the room have cctv cameras.

She sits on the wooden chair which is tucked in the big wooden table at the center and I sit in front of her facing her bravely.

She broke the silence between us.

Your training starts now! She implemented.

I was shocked and I don't know what to do. I think my eyeballs were separated from my eyes.

What do you mean madame?, I ask her.

We don't have enough time, that's why we will start our training today. You will rest later after our bloody training. She emphasized the word 'bloody' as she spoke. I was a bit scared about what she said. But I have to be more courageous this time, I will not make this opportunity passed by.

I will obey whatever you say madame, I responded to her.

She nod.

That's very good to hear. She replied.

She hand me a box full of folders in it. I accept it without hesitation.

Read it, if possible memorize it, you have to know the different people that you will encounter in this world of business. I will tell my son that you are my secretary from the small branch of my wine business located at the Reli, Alimania. It is far from here, he knows  I have my own business but he doesn't know what kind of business is it. She said continually.

My son trust me a lot, if I said I will give him a new secretary, he will accept it immediately. She continued.

I started to flip the first folder I picked. Listed in there the names of different persons with the kind of business they have, the place where they are located and their private negotiations. I was afraid after reading some of the documents.

Madame, why do I need to know their private negotiations? It's a bit alarming and I don't know why I should know these things. I asked her with my heart pumping really hard. I think I could be in prison if I continue reading those confidential files.

You have to know all of it, you will be working as his secretary, you must let him see you, let my son trust you in his business world. That way, he will let you in his heart. She have a point about it. I have to let him trust me. I have to put up a grand 'show' for him. But still I am confused about knowing it.

You don't have to worry about it Mia, I will protect you no matter what happened. She said in a firm and a trusting word.

I will look into it madame. The only words I said.

She dismissed me after that, she let me bring all the documents into my room and I studied it just like a lesson plan that I need to achieved everyday. I slept at 2 am, I was amazed with myself. I found the documents interesting and entertaining.
